This was included as a sample in my most recent order. Thank you!
Compared with the more pithy grapefruit teas I’ve been drinking lately, this one is kind of muted (or gentler). As a hot cup, the base is kind of smoky and vegetal, like asparagus. The citrusy grapefruit and guava are equal parts bitter and sweet. The guava in particular adds a mild flowery element.
As a cold brew the green base is smoother and subdued.. everything is actually. It was pretty sweet and mild, but refreshing enough.
While I prefer a more pithy and nippy grapefruit flavour and less smoky green teas I did enjoy the novelty of the guava here; it’s a different ingredient than what I’m used to! It smells lovely too.
Flavors: Asparagus, Citrus, Floral, Grapefruit, Guava, Smoke, Vegetal

Had this earlier today. I keep meaning to try it as the box suggests – as more of a latte version, but i forgot. AGAIN. Like the chocolate/chili of this one. Wish i could take advantage of 1$ shipping promo with tea G again
Yes, this is good. I drank it alongside a cup of Jayida Ché’s Rooibos Vanilla Chai and I just feel so spoiled right now. Wow, awesome consecutive tea lattes.
If you’ve had Vancouver based Bayswater’s Creme Brulee/Divine Temptation this blend is kind of a relative. It’s smooth and rich, wearing its dessert tea status on the cuff of its sleeve. I had some reservations about the rooibos/black tea blend but it’s easy to forget that “they” exist half the time. Once I run out and when my cupboard is less ridiculous (in 2021) I’ll likely suck it up (argh shipping) and reorder, if just for the fantastic O’Connor’s Cream and this. Yum.
Flavors: Caramel, Cream

blah. Getting rid of this tea. Sample over to variaTEA but since i’m fairly certain that she won’t love it anymore than i do, the rest is just going to be pitched. It really just tastes like plain boring hojicha to me…which is fine to drink..but not when you’re expecting chocolate and hazelnut!
Tiffany – if going to the post office was even remotely convenient i’d send it your way. Lockdown here for another 2-3 weeks and then even after lockdown it’s a pain in the ass where i live because of covid.
No worries — I’m trying to broaden my horizons by trying teas of different kinds, blends, companies, etc. and not above taking scraps from others. :)
tiffany – a friend of mine introduced me to loose leaf…then i found this site and a few folks in the area did a “swap” with me in which they pretty much foisted as many teas on to me as they could…and then i went nutes buying teas to try until 3?4? years later i had a better sense of what i liked or didn’t haha
