I ordered a few single-serving samples from Tealula and this was one of the teas I chose. The dry leaf smells good and quite strong.
I added a little bit of honey which enhanced the flavors of this tea. The rose in the tea is so strong it’s like an extract and the almond is slightly softer but still not necessarily what I would think of as marzipan as it also resembles almond extract more than marzipan. It’s a tasty flavor combination and I could see this being a really nice high tea choice to serve. I actually really like how strong the rose is in this one. It’s definitely different than other almond or rose teas I’ve tried.

Preparation
I first purchased this late last summer, and it was delicious iced – it tasted just like the orange creamsicles that I loved when I was a child. As I was rooting through my tea stash this evening, looking for one last tea to brew before bed, I came across this one (which had been stowed away in my warm weather iced tea section). Even though it’s still basically winter here in Chi, a craving for that creamsicle taste suddenly came over me. I ended up brewing this hot, at double strength, and adding cream and sugar. Oh my, is this good. It tastes like the warm, ooey gooey, comforting version of an orange creamsicle. I’m very happy to discover that this tea is more versatile than I originally thought.
Preparation
This tea has that warm, roasted, slightly chocolatey flavor that’s perfect for warming you up when you’re sitting under an AC vent for several hours at a time. One of the top roasted maté blends I’ve had! I’m really impressed with my recent haul from TeaLula so far.
