Tetley

The ultimate comfort tea, an instant taste of my childhood :) A part of my morning routine for the last 23 years! I tend to steep this tea for longer than most. Perfect with a little bit of milk and when an extra bit of comfort is needed just add a touch of honey :)

There’s a great natural sweetness to this tea, I was surprised at the strength and the depth of the flavour was considering this is a supermarket bagged tea. There’s a mild grassiness at the start of the mouthful, which turns smooth and almost buttery, and ends sweet with a very slight hint of licorice. Overall, it’s a really lovely chamomile that I would recommend.

Very light for a berry tea; very good, on the whole. Takes a long time to steep.

Mmm..BLECH! That’s my result. I had a memory of liking this bagged tisane. BUT…Two bags to a 15 oz cup, smelled great, tastes good at first but then got soapy chamomile sort of taste. There isn’t any in there (apparently!) but I couldn’t drink it. Poured out. maybe the beau will like it…

Yummy. Perfect balance of lemon balm and honey.

I still think this is weirdly strong.

Wow! This is STRONG stuff! Much stronger than any other lemon green I’ve had before. Very, very good.

Today I steeped this Jasmine green tea perfectly. About three minutes. No bitterness. I don’t normally touch caffeine, but hopefully this will do the drink to help me concentrate today.

For a bagged green tea this isn’t bad. Like that it is decaffeinated. The flavour is noticable but not overwhelming. I don’t steep this tea for very long. It goes bitter fairly quick.

I’ve found that this is a great tea to steep in a mug when at school and to keep going back and adding hot water to the tea bag. Its a bit sweet and flavorful to begin with, which is great for the 3:00 sugar craving, and as you add more hot water is mellows out a bit.

A fair bit sweeter than what I expected but exceptionally yummy, a nice desert tea. Fits my yoga-brained mood today. A tea I would bring to a yin class maybe.

This is my standard go-to Pekoe, I drink so much of it that I hardly know if I do it because I love it or it has just become habit. A bit of milk and sugar and I am good to go!

I could brewed this for just a few hours (the flavoring is pretty strong). It was the perfect pairing for coconut curry with lunch, as the sweet flavor balanced the mild spice of the food nicely.

I cut open a bag of Tetley Rooibos Vanilla Pear and dumped in in the IngenuiTea, added 1tsp of Blue Raven’s “I Heart Almonds” (minus the pink sugar hearts) and steeped in 16oz water. The pear, almond, and vanilla flavors blend together perfectly. This is a very nice decaf evening tea. I’m having it with headless gingerbread man (cookie swap reject)!
