Happy sipdown turned sad sipdown when I went to see about getting a different flavor of this chocolate tea and discovered that the company appears to no longer be in existence. I bought this tin several years ago on a whim and have reached for it many nights since. With a little creamer this has been a fantastic rich evening drink. The coconut added to the creaminess and the cinnamon added warmth without standing out on it’s own or overpowering the chocolate which takes center stage. It has been such a comforting tea and I’m really sad that I won’t be able to get any more.

How have I not made a tasting note for this before?! I’ve had it for several years and have loved damn near every cup. I found it in Vegas at a chocolate shop and decided to give it a go. It has been a frequent go to in the evenings when I want a non or low caffeine dessert cup. The coconut nicely rounds out the depth of the chocolate, making it smooth and creamy without overpowering. I have a couple servings left in my tin and as much as I love it, I’ve been overlooking it for a while and am ready for a break. I can see coming back to it in a year when my cupboard is better under control or trying one of the other chocolate tisanes that Tikal puts out.
