I tried a small pot of this earlier today at tlicious. It was absolutely divine, possibly the best white tea I have ever tried! It’s smooth and delicate with a very mild earthiness. It’s a distinct flavour, but not boastful. I will be saving up for a canister of this!

If you love floral teas and are looking for a tea with strong floral notes you’ll probably really enjoy this. The problem I have is that I don’t love floral teas and this is a particularly strong floral.

The black tea base has a nice full flavour too so it isn’t just a mouthful of orange and jasmine flowers. Although I do enjoy the odd cup of this, because I prefer so many other teas I’m finding this a bit of a chore to finish. Again, I think that just comes down to my personal tea preferences and isn’t a reflection on the quality of the teas at Tlicious

I enjoyed this. I drink most tea weak and straight and this was no exception. This is a nice simple black tea with strawberries.

drank Darjeeling Autumnal by Tlicious

I had this tea today with a very good friend of mine, and I really liked it.

I’ve never had Darjeeling before so I asked the guy at the counter what I should have, and he said Autumnal Darjeeling was the best bet. It’s considered to be the champagne of teas, and he suggested that I have it without milk, so I did. Apparently Darjeeling tea is difficult to have with milk and makes it lose its taste? But I’m not sure on this, so feel free to experiment.

It has quite a coppery colour, and quite a soft, smokey taste. It is a beautiful, distinctive tea and has some definite notes. I like this tea, and now that I’ve had it I feel like I understand Darjeeling teas and what they taste like and how they might vary. I like that this tea is gathered from October through November, copper-coloured teas from copper-coloured leaves.

I’d have this tea again, but I’d like to experiment with Darjeeling blends more before I try this tea again.

drank Peach Melba by Tlicious

I had this tea as an iced tea on a very warm summer’s day and it was brilliant. Tlicious is one of the places that does a wonderful traditional, fresh-brewed iced tea with sugar syrup in a large glass.

When I poured this tea it was a bright magenta colour and I could definitely taste the peach, the blackberry leaves and the apple. While it is a very sweet tea it has a natural sweetness and the tea is well-balanced. I’m not sure if I would enjoy this tea hot, it seems to be a very summery, sweet tea but I love this tea iced – it’s a classic.

drank Hot Chai by Tlicious

This chai tastes sublime. It has a classic bold, black tea base with the traditional chai tea flavours. However, the added spice and pepper kick is a wonderful surprise and makes for a fantastic winter tea.

The heat given by the pepper and ginger means this tea has its own distinctive taste and makes it one of my favourite chai teas for this reason. I always like something with a little bit of chilli or heat and this is no exception. I had this tea with soy milk and honey and it was just gorgeous.

drank Mystic Chai by Tlicious

The first time I tried this tea, I purchased a 100g bag afterwards. It was a beautiful chai. Spicy, peppery, warm and very drinkable. I think it’s probably one of my favourite chais I have ever tried.

I can definitely taste the cinnamon and smell the cardamom when its brewing. The ginger adds a lovely central note that is almost like Christmas. The flavours are very well-balanced and as always, the quality of the tea is exceptional. It lasts a long time and because it’s kept in a foil bag it means you can store your tea worry-free. Tlicious has wonderful quality tea and I love their range.

I brewed this tea for five minutes and tried it with soy milk and honey, and absolutely adored it.

drank Lady Grey by Tlicious

To me this is a an Earl Grey variant that was made with Earl Grey drinkers in mind. Although the description uses the word soft, I find the bergamot flavour very dominant. To me it is a strong traditional style Earl Grey with a creamy vanilla background and just a little hint of rose.

I do enjoy drinking this tea but I have to be in the right mood for an Earl Grey so don’t reach for it that often.
