If you are looking for a ginger heavy tea, this is the one! It has a naturally sweet flavor but not cloying, and there is a definitely ginger burn at the end of the sip. I am quite happy with this tea. I often get to feeling overly full and gassy after supper and this helped. It could have been a coincidence, but i don’t think so. Other nights I would go to bed feeling a little sick, but after a cup of this I didn’t feel that way. A definite winner!
Preparation
My cousin from Milwaukee turned me on to a new tea company called Tootsie’s Tea. It is woman owned, and the owners are Hispanic and Native. In December they had a special deal so I ordered 4 of their teas, and this was one. One thing I like is that the tea comes in jars (or mylar bags if you want a pound of it) I am slowly changing all my dry goods (flour, sugar, pasta, oatmeal, etc) from plastic containers to glass containers, so the glass jar caught my attention. My order arrived very quickly and was very well packed. I was careful to wait until I finished my tea advent calendar before I tried any of these.
This tea is very light, both in color and flavor. I found it refreshing. I wonder if this would be even better iced on a hot day. Or added to a bland black tea for a little oomph.
I do not know exactly how many ounces/grams is in a jar. The website said one jar would make 10 cups, but I think I will get more than that from this, Maybe 15 cups.
Anyway, I am very happy with my purchase. https://tootsiest.com/ may well become a fave.
