This tea continues to be delicious. I find it to be a very juicy tea, and I’d like toc all it rounded, though I don’t know why. The taste of the currants fill my whole mouth, and there is a lovely juicy flavour the whole way through. It does surprisingly well with a resteep, adn I think I will pop the bag back in some hot water once this cup is gone. I’ve never eaten a currant on its own so I can’t speak to authenticity of flavour, but it is delicious!

Got the hottest water my office can offer. I wish I had the time to boil water here, but as the receptionist it just isn’t viable. I continue to love this tea – it starts out by enticing you with a delicious black currant aroma, but then tricks you with it’s dull brown liquor. Expectations rise once again with the first sip, and the tea remains satisfying to the end. Yum yum!

It’s a good thing that caffeine has no discernible effect on me because I’m on a roll today. After some shifty tasting teas I felt the need to go for something comforting that I know I love. Black currant, it is! I have a box at home and one at work, and since I spend 9 hours a day here, the work one is going fast.

DELISH!

The re-steep is, as expected, delicious!

Also, please enjoy the musical stylings of Santana, since I felt the urge to join TeaEqualsBliss and her nutty musical scheme. The song? Black Magic Woman.

Smells divine. You would have to like fruity teas, but thankfully I do. The black currant aroma reminds me of hard candies my grandparents always had in the house. Letting it sit and steep while the smell wafts over to me is making me impatient – Usually a sign of a good tea.

Finally having taken a sip, I still love it. Tastes as it smells, though a little milder. I find the black currant taste lasts far longer than anticipated and is quite authentic, at least to me. Two thumbs up! I’m not much for re-steeping, but I think I’ll give it a go with this one, hopefully extending my 20 count box.

Re-steep was also delicious…Not as strong, but still lovely!

Dear Lady Grey,

I’m so sorry for always thinking I don’t like you. I don’t know what it is, but when your beautiful scent and taste aren’t right in front of me, I forget your wonders. Instead, I associate you with dusty dry bergamot, and your terrible husband, Earl Grey. I don’t know why he and I don’t get along, but you, my Lady, are a pleasure. Thank you for your faux lemon/faux froot loop taste and your conveniently packaged teabags. Forgive me my forgetful nature, and try not to hold a grudge when I inevitably think (once again) that I don’t love you. I do. I swear.

Sincerely,
Uniquity

PS – You really are best enjoyed at a 2 to 3 minute steep time. Who doesn’t love a quick Lady? ; )

MMm, breakfast tea. This still reminds me of fruit loops, but in general, all Lady and Earl Greys do. Nice crisp citrus flavour, very refreshing and pretty good at waking me up first thing in the morning after the time change. My brain is still pretty convinced it’s only 7 o clock!

A nice relaxing cuppa for the afternoon. Wish I were at home with my beautiful mugs and my loose tea collection, but Twinings bagged Lady Grey isn’t the worst thing that could happen. :)

myspecialtea :)

what would you say are the diferences between reg earl grey and "lady Grey??

Uniquity

More lemon flavour and citurs flavour in this than bergamot, if that makes sense. It seems more crisp to me.

“but Twinings bagged Lady Grey isn’t the worst thing that could happen.”
I find that to be the case with most of their teas, infact there are some I just plain enjoy. This one included.

Uniquity

I haven’t had too many of them, but I really enjoy this one and their blackcurrant. I LOVE that one.

Oh my, have I fallen for you. When I’m looking for a more classic tea taste, you are the lady for me! The lemon/citrus is pretty front and centre, but this is a big switch from my normal berry flavoured teas. Love it!

KeenTeaThyme

This is one of the few earl grey-ish teas I can stand. :)

Well, apparently my travel mug was so excited about the arrival of tea last night that it partied too hard. When I poured water into the mug of Wellness I was meant to have this morning, it cracked. Twice. Loudly. So, it sits in the sink at home, waiting to be disposed of once it cools off. Now I need to make a trip to the mall tonight to get another. I think I will stick with the same brand, as there aren’t very many options locally and I really want a clear one – That seems surprisingly uncommon around here.

So, now, as you can read, I am drinking Lady Grey instead of Wellness. Maybe I’ll have an all black tea day. All I know is that it’s extremely cold outside, and I need something to warm me up from my wait for the bus. I don’t look forward to travel mug searching tonight, but this winter I don’t want to go two days in a row without my lovely travelling companion.

A good kickstart to the morning. I wanted a little looseleaf, but the beau wanted lady grey. So, I’m grabbing a big mug of ruby red to go! : )

It’s so strange for me to actually pay attention to steep length. I left this in for only 1.5 minutes as I’ve learned I like it best around that point. It seems a shame to throw the bag away when I know it wants to keep on steeping, but this is just the taste I prefer. I’m a wuss! Anyway, I’m enjoying a hot cuppa this morning, while my view is totally obscured (once again!) by snow. I’m contemplating a dash of milk, but that is just an urge for unnecessary fat and this tea tastes lovely on its own.

Have I found the perfect way to make this tea?? Oh my heavens. I think it helps that when I startd into the abyss that is my tea drawer at work I really felt like a good proper tea. By my definition, Lady Grey counts. I steeped it about 1 minute, with the usual water from here and find it really citrusy (orange in particular) and perfect. I haven’t reached the bottom yet, but I see no need to add sugar or cream. Really nice!

Felt like a real tea after my chamomile apple this morning (really coming to hate that tea – chamomile is not for me!) so I turned to the Lady Grey. I found that I needed a bit of sugar and cream in it this morning, but I find it masks the bergamot too much. A little unsatisfying, but still a nice cup of tea. I think I need to give in, greys are not really for me!

This morning’s steep wasn’t as delicious as usual…I fear I am starting to like this tea less. Will add a splash of milk and see how that goes.

Tiny tiny bit of sugar and a bit of cream brought this back to what I was apparently in the mood for.

Still delicious, This cup has come out a little more citrusy than my first few, though the only difference is a lower water temperature. It’s a lovely tea for right now, easing the transition from yummy lunch break to work again.

This time I actually find it a little bitter at the end, maybe over-steeped. I think I would like a tiny bit of sugar and/or cream in it. Inherited habit!
