two leaves and a bud

Ugh, I think the water tube on the fancy espresso machine got some coffee in it. What a waste of fine tea! I’m drinkin’ it anyway.

Smells like Christmas. Christmas berries, that is. Perfect for the first day in the 20°F range.

Smells like a field of flowers. Tastes like green tea.

To be honest, I chose this tea just to have some variety in my tealog! It’s good ;) luckily. With some raw sugar & organic milk.

Lots of work, lots of work to do…

About a year ago, I decided that I was only going to buy clothes that I was obsessed with and couldn’t stop thinking about, so that eventually every morning that I got dressed would be an exciting event. I made this same type of decision last night about food and drink: to really, really WANT everything I eat or drink, from now on. Not only that, but to feel like it will only make me feel great afterward, rather than sluggish or regretful. It’s working so far!

Oh god, I put one spoonfull of brown sugar too many in this one!

Good lord this is delicious! No bitterness for miles.
Uh oh, dangerous that I’ve discovered it now _ watch out, office tea supply.

This tea is very smooth and a new favorite (so far).

rooibos tea makes me think of twigs. calm, pleasant twigs. i didn’t find this tea to have a particularly strong or distinct flavor, but i could taste the hint of lemongrass, which i enjoyed. a nice afternoon tea.

Compared with other Jasmines, this was much less floral, and the aroma was mostly of tea, not Jasmine. The tea was very smooth like a pouchong, with a hint of sweetness. Expensive, but not a bad deal given that there’s a generous amount of leaf in the bag, and the tea proved to be usable for two infusions, although the second infusion tasted exclusively like green tea, not Jasmine.

This is one of my favorite green teas. Not as astringent as most others, nice and clean taste. Very calming.

Might have calmed my Friday stress down a little bit, but also have sent me a little closer to comatose status. Uh oh…

when I am in a hurry and use a sachet, this is one of the ones I go for in the morning. I truly enjoy the flavor and give it a thumbs up for a decent hit in the AM. Their Jasmine is lovely as well, but that’s for another post!

This is, what I believe, a typical TL&B tea: Sophisticated and subtle. It is an excellent tea that requires you to pay attention. Pay attention to its quiet bouquet. Pay attention to its very pleasant taste. This is an excellent Sunday morning tea when you might have the time to savor this delicious tea.

Day two of my awakening to TL&B Assam: A very pleasant, quiet sweetness to this very good morning tea! I like it more and more. Perhaps the issue is to “slow down and taste…” :)
