drank electric kettle by Chefman
52 tasting notes

I just picked this up tonight and so far so good. It does everything the description said it would (https://www.amazon.com/Chefman-Electric-Precision-Temperature-Function/dp/B00V9LJF78/ref=pd_sbs_79_12?encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00V9LJF78&pd_rd_r=8KAFM22Y0P3J5QEMJNEZ&pd_rd_w=bSwWF&pd_rdwg=eN8tc&psc=1&refRID=8KAFM22Y0P3J5QEMJNEZ)
Precision temperature control for optimal brewing
Great for tea, coffee, instant oatmeal and more
Option to keep water at desired temperature for up to 60 minutes
Boils water faster than microwave or stove top methods
Cordless kettle with 360º swivel base, 1.7 liter capacity
I got it for $49.99 at Target which surprised me because Amazon usually beats everyone out (they wanted $79.95).
First time using an infuser so the rating will probably go up when I have mastered this skill. Also saw a few reviews that said the kettle had some rust issues but I think if I keep it dry after use I might be able to avoid the problem.
It would be great to hear from anyone that has used this product.

Update: I just have to add that I cannot believe how much more flavorful my tea is, now that I am paying attention to thee water temperature and steeping instructions. Just amazing!
Well it’s almost a month later and I just got back from returning the kettle.
So disappointing. It makes great tea but was beginning to rust on the bottom. This has been noted in a few reviews I’d read but I thought/hoped if I dried it out as best I could (small opening) I would get luck and it would be fine.

No such luck :( Hated to return it because the rust thing was the only problem) but the bottom line is, no matter how wonderful the brew is, if the bottom falls out one day it’s not going to matter.

So the search for a great kettle goes on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Where to start? I am cuddlesmom in honor of the most amazing dachshund/terrier that ever lived (she lasted 19 years, passing away in 2015). Otherwise, I am a history teacher, wife and ardent Bond fan (Dalton being my favorite Bond on the screen).

I dabble in writing romance and suspense, (though the muse has gone on what appears to be an indefinite vacation as of late). I just finished reading A Gentleman in Moscow & have to say what a fun read that was!

As far as tea goes, I have been a dabbler for a longtime but since I recently discovered Harney & Sons in Target, I’ve gotten hooked on it. Since that first tin, I find myself more and more interested in trying new types of tea.

The Harney site, with its free shipping and samples, is a very dangerous place indeed.

As for my ratings, they are based on a standard scale: 100= Flawless perfection, 99-90= Excellent, 89-80= Above Average, 79-70= Average, 69-60= Below Average, 59-below Failing, poor tea IMO.

Irish Breakfast is my black non-flavored go to tea, raspberry has been pushed out by Harney’s Goji Fruit tea as my favorite fruit tea. I am starting to do more green teas and have just ordered my first oolong, so we will see how it goes.
