I would say this tea compares a bit unfavorably to the Trader Joe’s English breakfast tea bags. The Twinings is more expensive and less flavorful. The Twinings is an adequate cup of tea, but definitely lacks the crisp and bright flavor that one seeks in a cup of tea in the morning.

This is a solid and acceptable daily green. it is reasonably sweet and satisfying. nothing special, just solid consistent green. For those who quaff green all day every day, you can do alot worse than this!

This is a surprisingly good cup of tea! I remember being at a Thanksgiving celebration and the host handed me a cup of tea after dinner. I drank a sip and said wow, that is a nice cup of tea! He said: Trader Joe’s English breakfast tea. I said really??!! Wow!!! Just goes to show that really tasty tea can come from the most unexpected of places…

This is a tea that has that “classic” tea aroma when steeping. I would not know how to more precisely describe that smell, but I will add that it is lovely and evocative and reminiscent of long ago rainy mornings in early spring. As for the taste, when two teaspoons of sugar are added, the taste of this tea is absolutely solid, reassuring, traditional, malty delight. This is a tea you can really count on to give you that flavor, that boost, that comfort that you are looking for in your tea. I salute the makers of this tea!
