Basilur tea - omg the tins!

I’d never heard of this company before a friend mentioned them yesterday. Their website is kind of sketchy and random, but omg I can’t get over how gorgeous some of their tins are. I don’t even do tins, but I kind of want some of these (particularly the crescent moon tins from the Oriental collection.)

Has anyone tried these? Ordered from them? Their teas are super inexpensive for 100g. Shipping within Canada for four things was $13.

My friend said she’d swap me some White Moon, so I’m looking forward to getting to sample it without buying a whole pile.

But these tins!! http://www.basilurtea.ca/basilur/oriental.html

I have wanted their book tins for a while! I don’t know about ordering from the US, either the shipping is ridiculous or not available for the US.
Oh the oriental tins are so pretty!

I kind of wish they just made tins that you could put your own tea into.

But they’re the cost of a tin so you can buy it and toss the tea and the tins!

Someone gifted me a Concert tin (http://www.basilurtea.ca/basilur/festival/music-concert-london.html). It’s so cute! It’s actually a proper music box, and it came with disposable teabags in addition to the loose leaf tea. I haven’t tried the tea yet, though, so I can’t report on that.

I’ve seen the book tins a bunch of times at Russian markets. They are so frickin pretty but always seem to be black tea, which I can’t drink much of.

Omg that is so cool.

I sent them an email asking about USA shipping. I couldn’t find anything on their website.

Let me know if they reply. I would love a tin, if not to just give away the tea inside :D

Soo pretty! I’m a sucker and will pay for pretty things.
Has anyone actually tried their tea? Their spring tea sounds yum!

Haha- their “shipping policy” page gave a 404 NOT FOUND message.
But if shipping to the US is ridiculous, I’ll pass because I hate paying for shipping. =( Unless someone wants to coordinate a group order to meet a shipping threshold!
