Adagio's tea cookies are here!

Well, after about a year and a half of waiting, Adagio’s tea cookies (available in 3 flavors) are FINALLY HERE! …hopefully the chocolates won’t be too far behind, but they still say “early 2010”. I’m definitely gonna get the chai ones!

Hmmm… my computer isn’t saying they’re O.O.S… I just ordered 2 complete sets.

How strange, I logged back in when I got home and still out of stock. They’re all ‘greyed out’ so I can’t order them. Weird!

Ah well. I just placed an order last week to take advantage of the mate sampler; I don’t need to place another so soon.

No, I’m still really angry about the run around they give their customers- I’m just glad (this one) is over.

Sad day! Hopefully they’ll have some at the store opening, maybe even samples? Hint hint….

Hope so. However, looks like there will be a delay in opening. The company doing the cabinets is going out of business and the city building department is under investigation by the FBI. It has been a rough day for Charles and the rest of the Adagio retail crew.

My cookies have shipped! EDA is Monday. It’s weird. I ordered mine about 5 min before my friend Irina’s and her’s haven’t shipped yet. I even had more teas in my order.

Also, on an Adagio-related note, looks like they changed the size of the bags they sell. I ordered 4ozs of chocolate chip and 3 ozs of casablanca twist last week, and looking at the website now it looks like they’re selling those teas in with one ounce less in the ‘mid-sized’ price.

I wonder what triggered the change?

So is the 3oz of Chocolate Chip is the same as the 4oz cost of the chocolate chip you just bought?

It’s $1 less. I’m wondering if they reduced the size of the bags so that the amount of tea would fit in the 4oz storage tins? I had about a sample size’s worth of “overflow” when I tried my 4ozs of chocolate chip tea into the 4oz storage tin, lol!

The cookies are available in our NJ warehouse only. We hope to have them shipped to CA and made available to the west coast in a few weeks.

As far as weight of the teas… We are bringing our new packaging machine online and realized that the machine was having a tough time filling the bags in some cases. This forced us to reduce many teas from 4oz to 3oz. This was also accompanied by a price reduction of course.

I don’t like that you’re stuck w/ what’s in stock at the warehouse closest to you. Most likely x product (in this case, cookies) would get to you faster being shipped from the father warehouse than waiting til it’s in stock at the closest one to you.

The Honey Rooibos ones came with my recent order a few days ago. They were very yummy and tasted awesome dipped in the Masala Chai. :) They were a wonderful surprise.
