Matcha for Medicinal Use

You’re more than welcome to go ahead and laugh… I got stung on the palm by a bee (OUCH!) this afternoon and got to thinking… I know matcha is really high in antioxidants, so would it help the healing process for stings, burns, cuts, etc? I mixed organic matcha w/ baking soda to make a REALLY thick paste. Does anyone think it did any good or is it all in my head? One thing I do like is the matcha made it really thick and almost clay like as it dried so even the dried past stays put… if I can manage to keep my palm from moving… which is hard since I not only need it for pushing my chair, but it’s right where my thumb bends.

Thanks, but that’s not really what this post is about. It still hurts, but as it’s in an area I’m literally moving constantly when I’m awake, I expect it to hurt for quite some time. Hopefully sleep (and thus lack of movement) will help.

Gee, this just seems like such a waste of tea. :)

That’s EXACTLY what I thought, but as it would be the equivalent of getting a be sting on the bottom of your foot in amount of usage the part of the body gets, I wanted to stop the pain and stop it from getting infected. I’d never got stung before, was in a LOT of pain (I’m such a wuss), and didn’t know what to do so I tried it. At least making the paste was calming so it was worth it in my book.
