This issue has been outstanding since Boxing Day, when you placed the order?? If they haven’t responded to numerous e-mails and messages, then they are way out-of-line from a business point-of-view (regardless of what Tao is doing away from the shop). Yes, he is very nice but he and / or his co-workers have clearly messed up.

There are several Steepsterites from Toronto. I am sure that one of us (myself included) would be willing to drop in to the shop and see what is up, if that would be of help.

I had a similar issue recently with a different Canadian company. Placed an order the first week of January, they told me it should arrive in 1-2 weeks. It didn’t come. I emailed several times with no response. Yesterday I sent them telling them that if they didn’t respond by Friday I would be disputing the charge through my credit card company. They emailed back offering to resend my order, throw in some extra tea for my trouble, and use a tracking number this time. Hopefully everything will work out. I think it’s a good policy if you’re dissatisfied with a company, and especially if you’re considering taking action against them, to let them know clearly (but politely), why you are dissatisfied, and what action you plan to take (ie. never ordering from them again, disputing a charge, etc.), so they have a chance to make it up to you. Sometimes things just slip through the cracks for whatever reason, and someone in the company needs a reminder that their actions or lack of actions do have consequences. Since this is my first experience with this company, their tea will have to really impress me for me to order from them again, but that’s better than a couple days ago when I was planning to never order from them again, and recommend to anyone who was considering ordering from them that they take their business elsewhere.

Hey-haven’t had a chance to get on steepster till now, but I finallyyyy got an email last night-thank God!
They mentioned that they have been busy with the tea festival, so kinda glad that it’s just that instead of not getting my emails at all. xD They let me choose a free sample, but I couldn’t remember which ones I had put in my original order because that was way too long ago for my fuzzy brain xD So I mentioned two and just told them to put whichever one I don’t have in my order, and they wrote me back and said they put both which was really nice!
And they said my order should get here next week-so Guess I will see what happens with that. But I’m really hoping it finally gets here!
Thanks for the responses though. I had some issues with a different tea company too, but I got that one resolved like last week I think. It’s still helpful to have peoples’ opinions on what to do to get ahold of a tea company that isn’t responding.
And thanks so much to those in Canada who offered to contact them in my behalf. I appreciate it so much, really. Thanks guys! (:

Ahh I only just came back on Steepster and saw this but I’m right in Toronto where their store is, so if you have any issues in future feel free to message me to help check :) Glad things got sorted out!
