You have an impressive selection of teas from around the world. Call me ignorant, but I would have never thought of tea from Iran.

Thanks, I do love seeking out little known tea regions. Iran has a long tea producing history but not much ends up the world market as domestic tea demand is very high. It’s got a very unique taste which I find tastes very similar to saffron.

Every time I visit the website I seem to find something new that I want, hehe, you really are making it hard for me to try every one of your teas!!

I am completely broke right now, but I shall drown my sorrows at not being able to pick up some more Black teas by drinking some of the tea from Russia. Also I shall mention the sale on my blog tonight ;)

So, I gotta know…what is tea from Azerbaijan like?

I think I might be starting to become addicted to adding new teas! My current business model is sell tea → use funds to buy more tea!

I really enjoyed reading your blog on the Dagomys Large Leaf Black tea and appreciate the sale plug.

The Azeri tea is perhaps best described as a more intense version of the Dagomys Black with quite a dry finish.

Oooh that sounds fun!! And I like that business model, in a way I did the same thing when I was in the jewelry business…sell a piece, use funds to buy supplies to make more pieces, it was a vicious (and very shiny) cycle hehe.

I will definitely have to add that tea to my next order, whenever that will be!

I’ll set aside a bag of the Azercay for you, so don’t worry about placing the order any time soon.

You are too awesome, thank you!!!

Oh god… must. resist.

I think I just finished trying the samples from my last order, but I am always so impressed with the quality and variety of offerings you have. I’m very tempted.

This offer is very tempting indeed, especially as What-Cha is one of the 3 tea new companies I wish to try this year.

Best wishes,

Can you tell us anything about your Azores Earl Grey?

What-Cha said

It’s blended by Gorreana Estate in the Azores using their Pekoe Black tea which is scented with Bergamot Oil.

It is just like a classic Earl Grey with the Azores Pekoe very similar to Ceylon which is traditionally used in Earl Greys.

I ordered some. I don’t have enough Earl Grey and I like that you add the bergamot to the tea rather than with scented cornflowers.

What-Cha said

Thanks for the order, I’ve credited your account with £2 ($3.50)

I’m very much not a fan of the modern Earl Grey trend to add cornflowers and/or lavender which seems to be taking over :(

I have to say I am a huge fan of Cream Earl Grey, but I don’t see why a quality Earl Grey would need anything like vanilla added.

What-Cha said

It seems to me at least, a bit like an Earl Grey arms race, companies keep trying to one up each other with new ‘innovative’ Earl Greys, constantly adding different things.
