I would love to! But I will mail you teas directly from Taiwan. It will make more sense not mailing from the states. :)

Please PM me your mailing address, and I will contact my family see if we have tea samples there.

I’d love to taste them, and get back with some feedback! If they’re good (and something tells me they are), we might consider adding them to our local shop.

Please follow me and I’ll send you our address. :)

I received mine! A couple of questions came up. Is there a company name? If we were to order more, how would we do that? Is there a company website? Thanks again for the sample!

Thank you! We haven’t launched our website. But our FB page will be ready soon! Please PM me what type of tea you are interested, and I will send you the price and the payment info. :)

I got my tea and tried it. Thank you for the free sample! I completed the survey online.

It smelled and tasted very good, like buttered popcorn. However, for me it had a bit of a strange note to its flavor. I don’t know how to describe it. Still overall very good, and I’m interested to hear what others think.

Thank you for your feedback! Please let me know what type of tea sample you received. I sent them out randomly. :)

It was a balled oolong. Is that specific enough? What else did you send out?

I sent out two types of Ooling teas: High-Mountain Oolong and Dongding Oolong. Tea in balled shape should be High-Mountain Oolong. You can also check the tea tag, where has the tea information.

tuocha said

Yes, it must be the High-Mountain Oolong :) I don’t think I have the tea tag…just a green card with the foil resealable bag of tea inside.

According to the packaging, I think it is Dongding Oolong. Its shape is very similar to High-Mountain Oolong tea’s. :)

The tea info should be on the green card, i.e tea tag.

The green card says “Taiwan Tea” on the front with a drawing, the inside has a survey link and a drawing of a leaf, and the back says “Sanne Tea.”

Okay. I am so sorry that I forgot attaching the tea tag. I will PM you the info now. :)

tuocha said

I apologize, the tea tag was inside the envelope, separated from the tea and the card. It was the Dongding! I enjoyed the flavor a lot and am looking forward to trying your other oolongs!

Awesome!

Got my samples today. Will try them out in a couple of days when I can give them proper attention and when I can afford the caffeine.

If you received Oolong Tea, its caffeine is about half of black tea’s. ;)

I would actually but I actually made my account yesterday so don’t know if I’m able to PM yet

Just ‘liked’ your page! It looks great, Lulu!! All the posts are so informative with wonderful pictures. :))
I really, really loved the Dongding oolong, so I can not wait to be able to try your other teas when you get your website up.
(I’m SO intersted in the “Honey Black Tea”…. I love leafhoppers! :)) )

Thanks! It seems to me that many people love Taiwanese Black Tea too. :)

@DeliriumsFrogs The Honey Black Tea was delicious! I was so happy to have been able to sample it. Its a truly interesting brew :) https://instagram.com/haveteawilltravel/p/0GwcaUzGb9/

Taiwanese Black Tea is not as bitter as Indian Black Tea. Its flavor is more delicate and has more different levels. I will suggest you also try No. 18 (Sun Moon Lake Black Tea), which is only grown in Taiwan. They are both Taiwanese Black Teas, but with different flavors and smells. :)

Oh, it looks/sounds delicious, Haveteawilltravel! I definitely want to try that and the No. 18. I can’t wait, Lulu! :)))

Your facebook page looks great! I love Taiwanese oolongs, and wish you great success.

@E Alexander Gerster, Thanks! :D

The sample arrived yesterday! Do you have steeping instructions for gaiwan or do I brew it however I want? This is my first Oriental Beauty and I want to make sure I prepare it just right :]

Phi said

Use 185 – 195* water with it, leaning toward the 185 if possible. It will bring out more of the sweet flavors, like pineapple.

Great!

The temperature of water used for making Oriental Beauty is lower than other teas. The recommended temperature is about 176-185F. Fill your gaiwan 1/3 to 1/2 with the leaves. Let it steep for 1 minute for the first brewing and then increase steeping time about 20-25 seconds for the subsequent brews.

Enjoy! Can’t wait for your feedback!

Lulu

Thanks, Miss_phi :)

Oriental Beauty is a very delicate tea. The better way to steep Oriental Beauty is to immerse the tea leaves in spring water. Let the flavor and smell slowly diffuse into the water.
