Upton Tea

I want to order some tea from Upton to justify (for myself) ordering the tea scale! What are some real favorites from this company that you would recommend? I love Golden Monkey and Queen Catherine from Harney and Son, Emperor’s Red from Premium Steep, and many others. I am NOT a huge fan of assams, greens, or oolongs. I do like a few flavored teas like Florence, Vanilla Black, and Cranberry Autumn and Boston from Harney.

Unfortunately the only UTI tea I’ve tried is an anti-recommendation, the Decaf Chai Agni. It’s just like hot water flavored w/ a little bit of red pepper.

UTI? LOL, that’s a rather unfortunate acronym. XD

Wow! I didn’t catch that at first! I think I will just call them “Upton”!

UTI is also a mechanics school:)

Yes, but you have to admit that the acronym is most commonly used to refer to a urinary tract infection. ;)

I have tried about 40 of their teas and I love their customer service and short shipping times. One thing you may want to do is check out the prices on their samples. They have lots of samples for $1. My favorite tea from them is River Shannon.

Samples absolutely- they even have samples of a lot (if not all) of their matcha. I don’t know of any other company that does that.:)

River Shannon is very good. I got a sample of that a few months ago. Thanks for the reminder to get more!

Fantastic! Thank you, everyone, for the information! I had not even thought of looking for samples. Chocolate Earl Grey sounds especially yummy, and the name River Shannon intrigues me, especially since my oldest daughter is seeing an Irishman and she spent the summer there. It would be fun to give him that one to drink when he comes to visit next month.

Melange de Chamois is a pretty popular blend, although I can’t claim to have tried it myself.

I will look for that one right away. Sounds yummy. I looked it up and Chamonix is a region in France. The blend looks very good.
