Any decent bagged oolongs?

I know very well that loose leaf is always better, but I need to tighten my budget soon and am going to have a busy schedule for school. What is the best bagged oolong that I can find for a cheaper price? For example, how does Prince of Peace 100% Organic compare to Republic of Teas Dragon Oolong?

TeaAve hands down – best bagged oolongs. http://teaave.com/ as it’s a unique big bag. This might not be your price range though.

Teatulia’s Oolong is good for bagged http://www.teatulia.com/oolong-teas/

Do not drink the Twinnings Oolong. That is the worst oolong I’ve ever had, you might as well just brew up some cardboard you found in a back alley.

The best bagged oolong I’ve ever had was Touch Oolong (http://www.amazon.com/Touch-Organic-Cube-Oolong-Count/dp/B008QW1OS6). Pick it up real cheap from Homegoods for like $5. I have no idea what kind of oolong it is, but if I had to make a guess I’d say it’s lightly roasted wuyi.

An alternative you may want to consider is to make your own tea bags. Buy some filter bags and fill with inexpensive loose oolong tea.

is it really a cube? :)

Cool. I’ve actually seen some at a TJ Max nearby. Might be able to snag em’.

The box is a cube. Would be cool if the tea bags were too :)

I have thoroughly enjoyed Prince of Peace Tikuanyin and like it better than RoT Dragon Oolong. They’re both in my cupboard now, though the Dragon has a best-buy date in 2013.

I can think of two places that come to mind:

1 – http://www.teafromtaiwan.com/shop/tea-bags
Which have some of the nicest and freshest Oolong I have tried in general. Not bad prices when buying in bulk ie 50 bags etc.

2 – http://www.teascent.co.uk/6-tea-bags
UK company with some nice pre bagged Oolong but may be a little too pricey. Shipping isn’t expensive though, I believe overseas starts at £3.

Just buy some teabags and make your own :)

I just finished college so I can kind of relate… I’d be willing to donate some oolong to help supply your addiction if you’d allow me (I like sharing tea…)

I actually have some bags that one of my friend gave me. And I’m more than willing to accept some! I like sharing tea too-I share mine with my friends all the time to get them to relax or help them wake up. Thank you! :)

No worries.
I just got my BA for MCE for Social Studies and Language Arts, though I turned from a career in education.

I will hook you up :)

That’s funny: my degree from Michigan State is a BA in Social Studies education with a minor in Anthropology if you haven’t read my bio XD. The minor was originally my first major so that I could be an Egyptian Archeaologist, but I have type one diabetes, and I need insurance to cover my pump supplies. Plus there was the revolution, the horrendous costs of graduates…Tea actually helps me because it’s something that I can “snack” on and it helps keep my blood sugar in check.

This is the brand I like for easy bagged, but it can be hard to find outside California, sometimes even inside of California.

I can’t speak to Prince of Peace’s Oolong, but their Jasmine Green is nice! At ~$3 per box of 100, it’s not too big of a risk? I got through undergraduate on Prince of Peace.

Lupicia has bagged tea if it’s within your price budget.

OR get some nice teas that hold up well to resteeping in a thermos. =D And invest in a nice tea thermos.
