So far none that are something special?

I’m a tough grader. Very few teas are “special” to me, but I expect that I will enjoy all of these. I liked the mid-2000’s raw a lot. I have a lot of Xiaguan (though not 2011) so I probably won’t even open that one for a couple of years.

The sample of 2005 Naka I bought was special. Should be, at the price.

I’ve heard good things on the Naka. I’ve been meaning to try it. I’m not the biggest fan of xiaguan, but I also havent recieved to prime of sheng from there.

Definitely, I was actually more excited for the free tea than my actual order. Only to realize I received no free tea. My heart did drop a few degrees.

How does the mystery Maocha look?
I’m pretty excited to try the XG, I have a feeling it will be pretty good :)

Haven’t opened the bag yet. That’s the one I’m probably most excited about. Who doesn’t love a good mystery

I am curios as to what these acronyms mean…

I’m almost positive that XG is either xiaguan or xigui. No clue what BD is.

I’d assume the acronyms are for the tea mountain since it’s not a compressed sample and just some random maocha. XG would be xigui; BD would be either bangdong or bingdao.

I opened the mystery maocha and the leaves are very long and thin. Only got through about 5 steeps last night but my uneducated guess is eastern banna, maybe Yiwu

Mine seemed pretty random. My order was a cake of Bosch, white whale brick, third of a blue mark cake(put that one on your wish list, it’s sublimely good), 3 samples (72 hour, 2001 7542, 2000 7532) and a couple golden melon shus

I bought all young sheng and a basics for free shipping. My freebies were all sheng, so I’m sure I am going to enjoy what was included :)

sad if nurses wouldnt let you use a puerh pick in the far future..maybe some family or friends could pick a few puerhs for you from time to time? :)

hahah, I only placed it because of the free tea, for I had literally just received an order from them.

I had been wanting to place an order from white2tea for a while, never pulling the trigger. But I saw the amount of free tea PLUS the free shipping, I finally did it.

My packages have taken 10 days each time except the last monthly club box which came in 7. I’m in the NE btw

Hmm. Maybe it’s just because I don’t know where to find the tracking number. My white2tea sub always arrives the 1st week of the month, which gives me the illusion that it moves really fast. =D

I’m not sure he give it out. I just go by the date he sends out the “your package has shipped” email. That’s better for my sanity anyway lol. My ocd tells me to check every 5 minutes to see if there was any updates

Mine is always 10 days on the mark.

Depends on your location.. I get mine within five days or so. When I placed one of my orders that included the Basics set, I got it in two days. (crazy, right?)

Huh. Mine got shipped on the 8th and it’s still not here. I’m in Canada so I don’t know if that makes any difference. But my monthly box came before Aug 8th, so I don’t know.

Canada is actually a trillion miles from everywhere, don’tchaknow? :)

I’m starting to get worried about mine. It’s usually 8-10 days. I’m at 12 days now, and nothing. My mail carrier is notoriously flaky; I’ve already lost an Eco-Cha order and she has a history in my neighborhood of being just horrible. I never order very much at any one time when I do order, so worst case it’s a loss of $40 and free tea.

I ordered on the last day of the Moving Sale and it was shipped on 8/12. We’re looking forward to its arrival! I also ordered a new gaiwan from Shanghai, China that shipped on 8/9 and arrived today.

I think he must have been tried by the time he got to mine, not too much variety, not that I mind really. I did wait until the very last day to order… Though one of my teas I bought 3 cakes, but only 1 was shipped.

Anyways, I got:
200g: mid-2000’s shu
50g: sheng from late 2000’s

I also ordered on the last day. I’m sure he will send you the two other cakes – he mustve been really tired/multitasking with all the orders coming in all at once.

Alas, I SHOULD have gotten 3 cakes of poundcake! (I keep sniffing the cake, I can’t put it down…) But I bought only 1 of Poundcake because I still have more than half my Shroom from the subscription and I was already wayy over tea budget for the month. I got 3 of Little Walk. I wanted a daily drinker that I could try my hand at aging, at least a little. My plan is to save at least one cake until 2017. I might get more Poundcake later though. ;)

For sure, I have no doubt that he’ll send the other two. I’ve dealt with him before and always there’s nothing short of great service.

Unfortunately the poundcake sold out during the sale. I was thinking about picking a cake of that up as well. Glad I still he got some of the gourd left

Aww that’s sad news. I shall treasure and hoard what Poundcake/Shroom I have in my posession. lol. Funnily it looks like he still has the 25g samples of Poundcake.

he does. i got a sample instead of a whole cake so i can try the other samples. im sure he will have more next year

TwoDog told me he has more Poundcake, however it is in his southern China warehouse where he has warmer and more humid storage conditions than in Beijing. He needs to pick up more tongs when he can get there. I’d say send him an email so he can notify you when it is back in stock.

It depends on a order size. If order is big, I choose the cheapest ship and it takes 2-3 months for it to arrive. Small orders are e packet usually and take 7-10 days. Pretty sure you’ve placed big orders, right ? ;)

lol, not big, but yeah cheapest shipping, I’ve to get through a ton of samples before I can start placing big orders :)

Well, it helps that the contract I’m working on got extended, and that it pays well. If this sale had happened 6 months ago, I’d have been mighty sad.

Ok, confession time: when I made my order, I mentioned in the special notes section that I wanted to get a variety of samples so that I could review them on www.booksandtea.ca – I didn’t realize that he had so much unknown/unnamed puerh.

I think Poundcake is getting restocked once he moves.
