teabox.com subscription service

Just saw an add for this on Facebook. You complete their quiz then they send teas that suit your tastes. You rate as you go along and their suggestions supposedly get better with the more tea you rate. Has anyone tried this one? Curious if it is worth it or if anyone has tried the teas they sell. Thanks! :-)

I’m pretty sure they are the same company as Golden Tips – anyone know for sure?

I’m with Marzipan… I believe they operate online differently but are of one company. Just look at the wording of each:

“Golden Tips Tea (www. goldentipstea.com) is a website (the “Website”) operated by Golden Tips Tea Pvt Ltd (Indian Private Limited Company) (the “Website Owner”). The Website Owner, including subsidiaries and affiliates (or “we” or “us” or “our”) provides the information contained on this Website or any of the pages comprising the Website to visitors (“Visitors”) (cumulatively referred to as “you” or “your” hereinafter) subject to the terms and conditions set out in these Website terms and conditions, the privacy policy and any other relevant terms and conditions, policies and notices which may be applicable to a specific section or module of this website. Please read this agreement carefully. By browsing, accessing or using this website or by using any facilities or services made available through it or by transacting through or on it, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions that appear below (all of which are called the “Agreement”). This Agreement is made between you and us."

and

“Teabox (www.Teabox.com) is a website (the “Website”) operated by AsianTeaxpress Pte Ltd (Singapore Company Registration 201133593K ) (the “Website Owner”). I would like to preface this statement by saying that I don’t know for sure, but I believe they are different companies but I think that one of them is a supplier to the other.

Hi Liquid Proust, that is standard boilerplate legal copy, you will see that on almost every site no matter what they sell.

There is something to it though. I know when they launched, their packaging was identical. And at some point someone from here looked up their site registry info and there was some link. I can’t remember the specifics.

Ah okay, maybe they are just multi branding!

I’ve tried their chai sampler but not their subscription service. You can read some of my reviews of their teas here:

I do find this interesting, but is there a way to know the price and amount of tea each month without signing up?

I did the little quiz and there were 3 options 9.99 for 1 ounce, 19.99 for 2.8 ounces and 39.99 for 10.5 ounces.

10.5oz? That escalated quickly.

For real… 3 to 10
