How many cups/mugs of tea do you drink a day?

Do you drink only one type of tea per day or consume a variety of them? Do you drink only tea or do you also consume other liquids? Lately I’ve been drinking tea and nothing else (no plain water or anything).

I drink 2-3 cups per day. I use a 12-16oz mug. Most of my tea is consumed in the morning and in the evening I like to drink a dessert tea/tisane or something that is decaff.

I measure in liters… on average probably 1.5.

That said you should drink water…

Now that I think about it, I take back what I said initially, I actually do consume SOME water now that I think about it, but barely any. Most of my liquid consumption consists of tea. I get additional liquids from other sources (food). I probably should increase my water intake…

I appreciate your enthusiasm though.

‘Course I live in a high elevation area where it’s extremely easy to become dehydrated… If I don’t drink enough water I basically get a hangover.

I live in a low elevation area…but I also work in a profession where some days I don’t even get to eat, really drink anything (a sip if I get lucky!) or even get to pee…so I’m sure I’m probably dehydrated most of the time.

It varies but I would say I average three to four teas a day, but one or more is a gongfu session that may be around a liter or more of tea.

I drink 2 – 3 mugs a day. That includes resteeps of the same tea. Some days I mix it up and others I just stick to one tea.

Depends; if I’m at work I’ll have about 2-3 tumblers’ worth. If I’m at home, usually one in the morning, one at night.

Just going by how much I refill the water pitcher I keep by my kettle about .5gal~1.75l of tea a day. I aim for no less than 20oz of plain water on top of that as well.

As for different types, it really depends. At least 4, but sometimes twice that depending on whether I’m mainly steeping western, continuous steeping or Gongfu style.

Also, I’m so curious, how do you survive with no water? Don’t you feel thirsty?

See my reply at the top :) But yes…O_O I should really increase my water intake. Even though tea can have a diuretic effect, I’ve found conflicting information stating that tea is both hydrating and dehydrating.

All day long ….

I drink two 12-16 oz. cups of black tea in the morning. The first cup is a fresh steep and the second is a re-steep.

Or I drink green/oolong with several resteepings of the same leaves. In the afternoon, if I am at home, I will drink a cup of flavoured white or green. In the evening, I drink herbal, rooibos, or fruit tisanes.

Also, I drink water. I wonder whether the non-caffeinated teas count as water?

I wonder about that, too.

If they are low in sugar/sweetness also, then I don’t see why not.

I drink roughly 4 cups of tea a day. Mostly black. I aim to drink 64 oz of water as well. Lately I’ve been getting more like 40, which isn’t quite enough for me.
I usually resteep once per serving of leaves, it just depends on what the tea whim dictates.
