The manufactures are Yi Chang Hao, Tian Di Ren and Yang Pin Hao. The production year is usually printed on the back of the tuo/cake outside the wrap. I haven’t tried any of these brands. Maybe you will tealog them later? :D

Thanks! I found two of the three online after you gave me something to go off of. I rarely log these cakes because I don’t know the company. I’ll have to try them after I get through the two cakes I have opened. Found a square brick and a mushroom too. Too much puerh!

Are these the ones we tried in the office today? If so, I think I’ll pass…
Those were duurrrty

Nope, would you like me to bring these in? The large square brick looks nasty.

We had Canton’s Pu-erh today from 1999.

I don’t know. I think I just don’t like pu-erh. Wouldn’t want you to waste some high quality tea on me.

The last two are shu, and the first one, probably is shu too. The third one is probably from 2007 (I saw 2007 version of this tea with the same cover). Usually I don’t drink any shu younger than 3 years (but I am not a big fan of shu from the beginning). But occasionally (very rarely in fact) I have a new shu that I don’t dislike. Many new shu’s do taste dirty and stinky :-p If you break off some pieces and let them “breathe” for a few weeks before drinking, maybe it will taste better. But maybe it’s still stinkier than most normal teas :-p
