I like full cakes and I cannot lie
all these samples just can’t provide.
Here is where we shall discuss the matter of ‘cake problems’. For all those times that you were browsing online and by the sight of the tight compression the beenghole has, the visible cohabitation of the tea needles, the appearance of the big buds on the top layer, a wrapper meant to be framed, or whatever reason, what cake/s were you unable to resist?
Show me that tea porn!
p.s. teachat (slack) decided that we will dedicate such thoughts and what not to the growing awareness of camelliaphilia
POST YOUR BEENGHOLEZ
edit: on topic. White2Tea’s Brown Sugar. The wrapper is super awesome and I’m framing it.
Yeah, I love their style.
I will probably buy a mushroom next time I have spare money, never drink it just because they look so dope
2013 Wu Liang Ye Sheng
Beautiful colors that reminded me of the 2012 Wild Monk so I bought it off of looks: https://www.instagram.com/p/9pC8CwRYMI/
100% satisfied :)
ive never bought a cake.. still trying samples tbh
I admit I bought this one from it’s picture. It turned out to be a pretty nice cake. I got it off aliexpress. The seller is no longer active there but I might check to see if he sells elsewhere.
Ah yes, it reminds me I bought this cake because it looked cool because they braided/twisted the leaf. Tastes too smokey for me and full of sticks after you get past the outer layer.
One day I’ll cave on YS’ version, hoping that one will be better.
Old arbor Jingu Bai cake. The yums if you want something thats a bit shengy & white mixed up, quite easy, deep & with some complexity. Also looks the right business
White2Tea 2 late… Lovely sheng everyone should have
One of the first cakes I bought was YS Impressions. To a significant extent it was because I loved the yin/yang wrapper.
That was the first one I bought. I’m still pretty new to puer so I’ve mostly been buying the 100g mini cakes. Buying full sized cakes I worry that I’ll end up with 200-400g of a tea that I end up not liking.
I liked the way Moonlight Sonata’s leaf made me feel behind my fig leaf.
that sound like an extremely nice tea plus wow thats a sexy wrap. tell me about this one, how is it? id buy based on the description and convenient size and wrap.
I should have said that I loved the way the tea brewed up as well! This tea has a very thick soup, with aromas similar to tangerine peel, honey, wild chamomile, while grapes, and even cedar in the last infusions. The soup also felt very cooling in the throat.
I feel like this a great tea for celebrating or sharing with close friends; it’s jovial and calming with lots of complexity.
I hope that helps give a picture of what this tea blend is like. :)
It is a beauty :)
I haven’t tried it yet and I have a whole cake for myself…
thanks for describing it david, it sounds really nice, may have to purchase if the cashflow gods permit. and thanks
LP for those pics.. so much color
