@ Everyone : I have not messaged anyone back, do not worry for I have not deleted the messages or forgotten.I was finishing up Dark Matter 2016. I’m in the process of getting everything broken up and creating my Excel spreadsheet to keep aligned with what I am taking on. Still room for more :)
Again, I’ll get back to you as I find the free time.

If I missed anyone please let me know!!!
Still room, help me find new people to try and reach 1 person each week because it’d be so awesome to look back on and say ‘yeah, I did do that’

Hi Liquid Proust, this is awesome and generous! I’d love to get involved as my puerh experiences so far have been most reminiscent of bitter compost…

I got you!

No worries, I figured you are busy with the tea festival.

I just sent you my info and was hoping to jump on board the sample train. I wanted to wait and make sure there was enough to go around before I asked. Didn’t want to take anything away from those who haven’t ever experienced a good pu erh. Thanks again for providing such a great thing for people. Way above and beyond nice.

Here is the thing… Everytime I have tried puerh, I cannot help it but grimace because it tastes either sour or like bark. Now I avoid puerh because I can’t seem to like the taste of it. That being said, I have never tried quality puerh (I think), because it’s been mostly Teavana or grocery store tea. A client has given me some nice Chinese puerh tea loose leaf, but even though it was more bearable, still couldn’t say I liked it. Was I introduced to puerh the wrong way? Should I cut my losses and call it quits? Or is there some magical puerh tea that will definitely make me a believer? Thanks for the input :) let me know if it would be worth it for taking you up on your offer.

You just haven’t experienced the right one with the right brewing process. Good shou will have an almost chocolate or molasses note to it. Sometimes bittersweet chocolate as well.
Sheng will bring some bitter, some sweet and a multitude of other notes as well.

I just mailed out 5, so if you give me a few weeks and keep on me with the private messages I shall get a whole package to you with information on how steeping time and temperature with the addition of leaf volume can change everything.

That would be amazing. Thanks, I will wait to hear from you!

You have to PM meat least to say: hey give me pu

Great idea, shame I’ve probably missed out on this as now got the Puerh bug and bought my first 2 whole cakes. I’ve tried a bunch of samples, but would love any more if I meet your criteria (and shipping to the UK)!
My samples are mostly Yunnan Sourcing own pressings, and loved the 2015 Wu Liang (sweet and floral) and 2014 Da Qing GuShu (an oily beast, but honeysuckle notes). In terms of Shou, preferred 2012 Yong de Blue Label to 2015 Green Miracle despite the reviews. Saving up for W2T Repave presently- any advice gratefully received!

Shoot me a private message and I will work with you in a few weeks. A 7 ounce package to UK isn’t that bad.

I have never tried an unflavoured pu’erh, only flavoured ones. I would love the opportunity to explore them. This is so generous of you and even if you don’t have room for to on the list, I really appreciate you doing this for the tea community!

I have room :), just need a few weeks to crack all the samples once again. regular pu’erh is better than flavored because they usually use poopy pu for blends.

Would love to join! I’ve had decent shou, but I only tried one sheng cake chosen at random in a Chinese medicine shop, which didn’t really do much for me.

Little did you know, drinking that random sheng is why you are alive today

:p
