Sipdown Goals...

I did a headcount of all my teas (Not including most samples.) and have about 150. And while generally, that number isn’t to bad…about 40 of those teas are ones I really don’t care for, so I am going to (try to) sip them down to nothing. If I hit that goal by the end of summer or so, then I will reward myself with a tea buy or 2. Mostlikely Lupicia and possibly Quarter to tea. Also preparing a few gift bags of tea to give away to local people…(I have this really weird…phobia? I guess of sending packages. So thats why I mostlikely won’t send any of those out.)

So what are your sipdown goals? And what are your reasons for your goals?

This year my goal is to get to 50 teas by year end as well as down to a weight of at least 4000g :)

My sipdown goal: Never reach tea soberness…

I just misread that as ‘snobbishness’ and therefore must be currently succeeding.

LOL yes, I’ve been trying my best to avoid that myself. Just because I prefer looseleaf, dosn’t mean I should rain on someone else’s parade about preferring tea bags.

I’m currently at 160 teas 8884g.
I try and set goals for each month – my end of March goal is 165 (yay below that) and 8800g. I think I’ll make the weight too – I have a few days and a couple of teas I haven’t updated on my spreadsheet.

The big picture is trying to get down to 125 and under 7000g by the end of the year.
I think my biggest issue is just having too much tea. I buy tons and then can’t get to it in a timely manner. I always feel like I have old tea that HAS to be drank. Would like to get to a place that’s way more reasonable and I can drink what I want, when I want and not worry about sipdowns or drinking the old stuff. This is going to be a project and I’m not going to get there this year, but I’m working on it.
(I don’t want to talk about my out of control pu’erh situation – that’s another issue for another discussion – living in denial for now…)
