North American Tea Championships, the next round...

Just curious which of our flavored black teas you guys think we should enter into the North American Tea Championships, if we enter one:

Buttered Cinnamon Raisin Toast
Coconut Cream Pie
Strawberry Zabaglione
?

Not having tasted them, but as a purveyor of tea, from the perspective of what I would be looking for…
I have not found many Strawberry Teas that really pop. So, My suggestion would be the strawberry, judging from the notes I’ve seen here.

Definitely the Strawberry Zabaglione or Coconut Cream Pie.

I have to agree on this one. Both are excellent.

My vote would be the coconut cream pie or strawberry zabaglione. If I had to pick one or the other that would be super hard! But I agree with Columbia Kate, hard to find a good strawberry tea and yours is a great one! :)

Coconut Cream Pie! A staple now in my tea cupboard. Tho, the strawberry zabaglione is amazing too.

Strawberry for sure…second choice would be Coconut.

Based on these three selections, my favorite is the Buttered Cinnamon Raisin Toast and it would certainly win points for being the most unique. But, the mainstream favorite would probably be Strawberry Zabaglione (err, that is to say, it would appeal to most people). So, if you’re going for unique, I’d say go for the Buttered Cinnamon Raisin Toast. Otherwise, the Strawberry Zabaglione would be the safe option.

I agree, but the whole point of 52teas is he’s not mainstream. I think he should enter a blend that another company couldn’t easlily recreate. That’s just me though.

That is, of course, the whole problem. Do we want to showcase “unique” or “crowd-pleasing”. I was seriously leaning toward the Strawberry Z because so many people enjoy it, but I’m now beginning to think that IF either of the teas could place in the competition, I think people unfamiliar with us might be more intrigued by the BCRT over another strawberry tea. I also think it might stand out and make more of an impression on the judges. So, I’m now leaning more towards the BCRT.

I think that’s a good philosophy. I am NOT saying you don’t do more “average” blends well… but tea drinkers can find some of those lots of other places. Set yourself apart, then you won’t get lost in mass of tea companies.

The Buttered Cinnamon Raisin Toast is my favorite. It is actually the top tea I have in my cupboard right now – I’m glad I bought two packets! I might be biased, but I think it is the more surprising and nuanced flavor.

I only had a couple of cups of the Strawberry Zabaglione, but it was never really as intense as I had hoped. I really like the Coconut Cream Pie, but I’m not sure if it has the “wow” factor.

Buttered Cinnamon Raisin is my vote, but it seems everyone loves this strawberry zabaglione so I have to give it a try before I finalize my vote.
