Best tea to get tea drunk off of?
Personally I think Matcha is a pretty good tea to get a tea buzz from, but Pu’erh or Tie guan yin would come a close second. What do you think the best tea to get tea drunk off of is?
I think it is generally pointless to try to find a tea to get tea drunk off of. What gets one person tea drunk will have no effect on another. I stick to trying to find good tea.
Tao CHa Ju Lao Ban Zhang 2013 is the only puerh that has got me really tea drunk. Initially hits you with the most amazing energy then melts you into the sofa after several brews.
Still kicking myself for not getting another cake.
The only teas that I have consistently felt qi from are the ones I bought from Yang Qing Hao, but they cost a small fortune for that qi.
Shan Lin Xin steeped with rum does it pretty well. I’ve also had White Lotus Golden Needle steeped with whiskey once and that was crazy.
That sounds awesome. I had souchong steeped in whiskey, but I’ll have to try WLGNeedle. The rum also sounds really good.
Yunnan Sourcing 2009 Lao Ban Zhang Premium Raw Pu-erh is the only tea that got me drunk. I used about 10g in a 150mL yixing, so maybe less grams of tea would not get you drunk.
It was a very weird feeling, not from caffeine, no heart palpitations, just dizzy and woozy and it took effort not to get sick. Was like when you’re drunk and you really have to concentrate just to sit there and not fall over. I can’t say I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t a terrible experience. I stopped drinking and it soon wore off. Just different, weird, and not something I would want to experience again.
I often feel various types of chaqi mostly from sheng since thats what I mostly drink, but also get some nice chaqi from Taiwan oolongs and even white tea. This experience was much different though, not chaqi as I know it.
