Hi Steepster! I was out of town for much of July due to my mother having a fall and breaking both bones in her lower leg—I’m finally home!

It’s time for another sale! The First Anniversary sale resulted in an overwhelming amount of sales volume (thank you)! It kept us very busy for several weeks, and great Hong Kong teas went to countries I hadn’t yet shipped to!

The 15% discount is in effect and applies to all orders through August 8th. This is a great chance to try out new teas (especially if you haven’t tried our teas before), or stock up on favorites! :)

Hey all! This week is Golden Week in China! Golden Week is a nationwide holiday during which everyone goes shopping and travels around the country (and often outside it as well)! This is also a good time for retailers across the country to have a sale, and I’m offering 18% off this week. I’m adding some Guangdong dry storage sheng to the site right now, including a very interesting 2007 CNNP remake of the 88 Qingbing that I really like.

The discount applies sitewide and runs through next Sunday: just use code “Special18” at checkout!

Hi Steepster! I’m out of town until the 2nd of November, so I’m offering 18% off until then: just enter code “Special18” at checkout! All orders will ship after my return! It’s definitely not too early to get in orders for Christmas as I expect many of us tea vendors will be very busy in the weeks to come!

18% off Chinese New Year Sale now in effect! This sale will run through March 1st. While China is shut down for a month, I took my break early and I will be working through Chinese New Year! Lots of great tea and teaware will be going up in the weeks to come!

I will be including Chinese New Year decorations (while stocks last) and everyone making a purchase will receive two or more free samples!

Please note there may be shipping delays due to public holidays and because some of my suppliers are on holiday until early March!

$120 for 15 grams? LOL. hot damn. no thanks.

$3,600 for a cake? does ANYONE buy from your Site?

convert to US dollars

I think there’s a button on the page to show prices in USD, which might reduce the sticker shock a bit. Though it’s true, the whole pu cakes are pricey. Don’t know which one you’re looking at, but previously this site had a disclaimer that he’s basically paying HK retail for cakes and charging a markup to overseas buyers.

It’s expensive but cheaper than a trip to Hong Kong, which seems to be the alternative.

His prices are high, but not that high. Its higher than YS or John King, but around the same price as Verdant tea or Mei leaf, and his selection is much much more specialized. Ive ordered plenty from him.

I especially recommend the 7542, the 2010 xiaguan ripe.. seriously I cant recommend this one enough, and the basket tea.

> Its higher than YS or John King

They don’t sell Hong Kong-stored puer. I don’t know of anyone who does, from HK, except Sunsing. And if you want sticker shock, have a look at their offerings.

I think we basically agree. The HK-stored Xiaguan jiaji raw tuo is The Way It Should Be. Too bad it’s $1/g.

I aggree completely, just mentioned that since many steepsterites.. (is that a word?) are used to YS pricing, so it was merely for comparison.

Do yourself a favor, if you like high quality puerh and oolong, wait for the sale, order over 110$ to get the free shipping and try as much as you can. YOu will be happy.

Thanks Ken and aardvark! Yes, all prices are in Hong Kong Dollars, but there’s a floating menu at the top right that allows you to change currency. Most of the teas I offer are only available at retail level in HK!

I do have a few hundred cakes/tuos/bricks aging as well. I should be releasing tea from my own dry storage soon! :)

Color me excited to experience this!

I’ll release stuff when it feels ready to me (and hopefully not before)! I have 2007 Dayi 7572s that are just about there, as well as dry storage CNNP 7581 bricks! :)

The 18% off Easter sale is now in effect through April 1st!

Hong Kong is one of two Chinese Special Administrative Regions that still has statutory holidays for Easter. Growing up in colonial Hong Kong in the British education system, Easter was very much a part of our lives. I decided to have an Easter sale to celebrate our unique history!

Please note the Chinese New Year sale had me the busiest I’ve ever been. Please bear with me if shipping takes a week or two. We pack everything with the greatest of care!
