Seattle Northwest Tea Festival tour

I planned a 5 night trip to Seattle around the Northwest Tea Festival this year for my tea festival volunteers. Unfortunately, most of them cannot make it.

I still have a suite in a downtown hotel reserved and reservations for afternoon tea in 2 locations, with tastings in 2 others. Also a tour of Theo Chocolate and the Panama Hotel and a behind the scenes look at the Northwest Festival. Pike Place Market, Fremont District, other chocolate stops… It’s a food and tea focused trip. :)

If anyone would like to jump in on this, I’d be happy to chat about it in a PM and give details. There are 5 spots available.

Not sure I’ll be able to make the tastings but I am planning to attend the NW tea fest on Oct 1st. We fly home on Oct 2nd. Maybe we’ll get to meet at the festival at least :)

I’m from the Vancouver area so not too far… I’m gonna talk with a few family members about it, I’ve never been to a tea expo but we order high quality tea internationally all the time so it’d be a great experience and opportunity.

It’s a really fun time with tons of tea. :)

I’d totally take you up on those but I’ll be too busy getting our booth ready. :-D

Gonna sound like a total newb here, but as I not a pu-head, I haven’t really kept up with you except for your awesome IG stuff. :) Do you all have a store in Seattle or a tasting room?

We primarily sell online. Our home doubles as a small tea tasting house. We’re up in Lynnwood. About 15 minutes north of Seattle. You’re welcome to stop by, but it might be a bit hectic before the festival. It’s a lot of work getting things ready.

A kind offer, but I completely understand the hectic. :) I wouldn’t dream of making things even moreso.

After the festival it’s so much easier. :-D At least stop by the booth and have some tea.

That’s a definite. :)

It’s too bad that you couldn’t come to the Coffee and Tea Festival NYC this past year. There were no sellers of Puerh there. You would have had all the puerh attention.

There’s is going to be quite a few of us Steepsters / Tea Slack Chatroom people at the NW Tea Festival. Maybe 9 of us?

I’m local too, live north of Seattle as well. It is a bit far out for me to know if I can do the tasting, I tentatively have in laws that might be visiting right before the festival.

All fails, we need to get badges or a meeting place for everyone to meet up at the NW Tea Festival.

A good idea to at least meet up somewhere. It seemed to work out okay at Midwest for there to be a set time and location prior to the event.

I was thinking about getting my evilducky logo put on a button or something haha.

Well, unless I decide to cut back my stay if no one joins me for the whole 5 nights I have reserved, I’ll be there from Thursday afternoon through Tuesday morning doing tea and chocolate. :) Anyone who wants can join me at any stop I am making. Tea reservations do have to be done ahead of time, though. I have Queen Mary set for Thursday afternoon and Cederberg for Sunday afternoon before the festival is over.

I like Cederberg.

I haven’t been. They sound interesting.

Right in the middle of the Autumn Pu-erh Harvest… ;-(

You’ll just have to plan to come to the Midwest in 2017. ;-)

@Nicole When’s that one?
