Pubertea Group Buy, Aged Puerh
The side buy may have openings. I will know July 4th.
Also, for those who are reading this… some crazy things have happened and I’m kind of speechless… all I can say is that this gained some serious attention to where some doors opened that I didn’t even think existed anymore; not that I was even aware that they were there in the first place.
If I figure finances out, I will be able to offer teas that you almost only see drank by those that have been into puer for 20+ years drinking as a treat. Please understand with me that this is not an awesome thing to happen for me but something beautiful for the whole community.
I hope that in the future multiple people join me in a video chat as we drink some Xizihao ;)
Pubertea 2017 has all been shipped out! This year, only the second one, there was a main buy that filled up within 24 hours and then a ‘side buy’ because I had too many good deals that came my way.
At this point I am working on some crazy deals for next year because some awesome opportunities have appeared and with the doors open I have to take a peak inside… : )
I know that many people want to join in on these, but I can only guarantee slots for 19 people other than my self for this specific event due to the nature of buying the last cake of something or the rarity of other cakes involved in this event.
As I continue to learn more myself about aged puerh, I hope to provide even better experiences! All the acronyms… I am looking into BYH, CYH, YQH, XZH… for next year and some great things have came my way which I should be able to secure for the group!
At this time, I am going to take my time and sample a lot of potential privately stored cakes or some more unseen cakes to build the best I can for 2018 which means that I have two options for what I have now: store it away or give someone else a taste. After I did the math I realized I have around 3 sessions of each tea so I want to offer the ability for a few others to try a few of the teas from either the main or side buy. Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing a few samples for special occasions or just a great session!
As I continue this event, I ask that you all help me out as this is a community driven event in which I am still learning to put together. If anyone has any advice or wants to help please speak up! Whether that be sharing the cost of some higher cost samples to discuss together, feedback on the event or tea, or possibly information that I did not list, feel free to reach out.Quite happy with the list of teas I had this year and surprised at how…. somehow… just, it is going to be better… you people rock! From the connections that have been made to suggestions and even some cash flow help, I appreciate everything and that includes those who just read and observe it all happen because you too are part of it!
I want to include everyone…. I’ll do what I can to make sure I spread these rich and rare experiences as far and wide as possible.

I’m in for whatever u need LP. I just started digging into this years group buy and am very appreciative of all the work that it took to put it together. I’ll keep an eye out for any rare potential teas for next year. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to to help and keep this thing going!

How about this idea, I had thought of it but didn’t propose it: Would some people be up to doing blind samples of cakes bought privately from HK and then some stuff I’m sourcing through Malaysia and maybe some Taiwan stored stuff?
This would be 3 or 4 teas max that I am not certain on but have to buy full cakes because samples to not exist. The only thing I would ask in return would be discussion PRIOR to the reveal

Rather then myself going through the debate of this question I figure input from everyone would be nice here.
So recently I made the decision that I would sell small samples of rare teas or teas that don’t offer samples such as the stuff in Pubertea. This will all be done on Etsy and that’s where I come to this question.
Would this event be more beneficial than adding 1 to 2 cakes per month to my site? I figure it would eliminate some discussion on what cakes to go through as well as taking care of the two different price points I had to switch to due to popularity.
This would kind of lose that close community feel though and that is one reason I’m asking because I’m kind of unsure what to do here… any input would be welcomed. Please remember I’m trying to keep this as community focused as I can without having the concept of business or money take over which is why I like to discuss these things with everyone.
