I love old site and I’m going to miss it. I didn’t find it difficult to navigate. As for me I don’t care about most popular or average customer review as tea is very subjective. But I understand it was a time to change it. I do wish the transition will be as smooth as possible. Your customer service is always the best :D

Thanks for the support. I need to hear that people are on board because of the teas. The new site once people get the hang of it, is faster and has tons filters, tags and collections that can be utilized to hone in on the teas that you want. We will work really hard to make the new site better and better over time. The main thing is get people on the new site and using it. I am sure there will be lots of things that we’ll want to improve. The good news is that with the new site version I’ll actually be able implement changes to the site without breaking it and without needing to pay an IT professional to save my ass.

Is taiwan sourcing running on the new software?

@ Ken – yes Taiwan Sourcing is running on shopify, but using a different theme than we will use for the new YS site. I have a mind to change the Taiwan Sourcing theme to something closer to the YS one to make it more navigable.

I will miss the old site too. Will our loyalty points automatically transfer over to the new site?

AllanK – yes the points/vouchers will most definitely be transferred.

Will our order histories be transferred? I like to be able to check and see if I already own something before I accidentally buy it again.

@AllanK – the order history can’t be brought over to the new site. Please refer to the order emails the site sent when you made an order.

Somewhere upthread you mention the passwords from the old site being one-way encrypted. Confirm that the new system does this too? It is the Right Way to do it.

Yes… as such everyone will have to reset their password after the switch.
