Seaking tea advice

Hello everyone! I am new to the fine tea world. One of my favorite places to get lunch was a little cosy tea room. They had many different types of loose leaf teas to choose from and a comfortable chairs to sink into. Sadly, they had to close their doors for an undetermined amount of time. I now have to make my own precious brew. Does anyone have recommendations on heating elements, teapots, cups and places to buy great tea? There seem to be so many options out there that I’m not even sure where to begin!

If you want good tea that won’t break your budget I suggest Simpson and Vail at www.svtea.com. They have reasonable prices and good tea. They also sell a fair variety of teaware all dedicated to Western brewing. If you want to try Asian brewing someplace like Yunnan Sourcing is a better choice for teaware etc.

What is the difference between western and Asian brewing?

Western:

Eastern/gongfu/kungfu (however relative this term is, for I have seen several different “Asian” styles):
