Hi, I have been to The Shard for High tea and it was really good – the view was amazing as well.

My wife and I usually go to Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge where one can find delicious food and a very wide choice of teas including Oolong and Pu’er teas.

I would recommend avoiding Fortnum and Mason for afternoon or high tea. I have written a full review up on the shop’s Steepster page if you are interested: http://steepster.com/places/3431-fortnum-and-mason-london-uk
It was really overpriced for the quality of the food (even though you could get refills on any food items for afternoon tea) and the way the tea was prepared was disappointing. That being said, the salon itself is beautiful and it would be worth checking out. Good luck on finding a nice spot and let us know if you find any gems!
