I’m just getting back in to this community after a couple years of absence. Although I haven’t been here long, I feel like it’s nice to find a place to belong with like-minded individuals. Another thing this community has done is open me up to new teas and experiences I would otherwise have never experienced. For example, I had never heard of whispering pines before I joined, and now I love them.

Yes, I’ve learnt about White2tea from this site. This evening I’ve been reading Oolong Owls blog about White2tea monthly club and she has convinced me to sign up! I’ve also ordered samples of their high end shengs.

I lose track of what I learned from where, or for that matter of what I know or don’t know, and I’m not always great with details anyway. But this is a unique place to talk about tea, beyond the review section references. I live in Asia (Bangkok) so I tend to not share in learning about suppliers as much since I buy tea from places here, or when I travel. To answer a slightly different question then, it’s been interesting learning how online communities exhibit a different culture. Steepster is a bit more inclusive than some places, especially given the participants span a range of interests and levels of experience. The running theme of “learning together” is nice.
