Any news on green gold, Garret?

Garret said

The 2017 Green Gold just arrived late last week. I was camping in the desert in AZ and got back to all kinds of wonderful shipments, Green Gold included! The 2017 Valley Peak is also rockin’! Thank you!!

Where in AZ were you camping? It’s beautiful this time of year if you can take the heat.

HI! Mostly Sedona area. It was sure hot further south, though. When I left Phoenix is was 105. Nearly froze my ass off getting back to MN where it was 60. I loved seeing all the cacti in bloom and had some great moments just laying back and listening to the quail do their thing. So much beauty there!

oh man, We’re heading to sedona in 2 wks!

Sedona was cooler than Phoenix, for sure. But it is definitely heating up there now as spring ends. But it’s a dry heat :) Bring your lip balm.

I love Sedona! My favorite place in Arizona. There is something really special about the red rocks :)

I have been wondering if the website is ever going to be back up. It seems to me they could be back up by now if they had any desire to be back up. It has been how long now since their website went down? A year? A year and a half?

Other than the recent email order I placed in February, the last time I ordered before that was 2015. It certainly has been awhile.

I also don’t think Garret is on Steepster much anymore because he rarely answers posts on here these days. I did put in an email order with him a couple of months ago as well.

Hi! When we shut down the retail shop here in Rochester, we also shut down the website for a while. It’s been down since 9/1/2016 and we are shooting for a reopening of the online shop by the end of this month. It’s been a busy time these last bunch of months as we’ve been working with wholesale business and also all the phone/email orders since then. After taking some much needed r and r from the busy-ness of the retail/online thing, we are ready to get back into the online thing. Once we relaunch, I’ll make a post about the site. It has been fun these last few months getting to know customers in a different way than as just a name on an order form, but we know the online store is much more convenient for most customers, for sure! We are on it. Thank you for your patience and your continued support, my friends.
Grateful,
Garret

Seems like they don’t really care to sell tea anymore. It’s going to be a bit too much to keep emailing back and forth to purchase instead of just ordering from the website.

I also would be interested in any news…

I don’t think I will hold my breath on this one. Lol

Shooting for a re-opening of the online store by the end of May. Thank you for your patience. The r and r has been nice but it’s time to make the teas available for more than just wholesale and email orders again. I’ll post when we re-open.
Grateful,
Garret

makes me sad since it pretty much means no more orders for me. There’s another company that I’d love to order from as i love their teas but they only do orders via email and it’s just not convenient. You can’t tell when sales are happening, you need to get the price list if you’re on a budget and that matters to you…and late night shopping doesn’t really flow if you have to wait on emails :(

HI Sil!
The site will be back up around the end of May. Sorry for the inconvenience, but the downtime has been much needed for us to get more done wholesale wise and to recover from the running of a retail shop. Got spread a bit thin with all that we were trying to accomplish. I’ll post here on Steepster when we relaunch. Thank you!
Grateful,
Garret

Garret,
So glad to hear the website will be open again soon. I just finished the last of my milk oolong yesterday and was going to email you about another order but will just wait until the site is up. THANKS!

Garret said

Thank you! The Milk Oolong has continued to be a super hot seller these last bunch of months. Every order we sent out today had the Milk Oolong in it! Great stuff, super clean source. Tea you soon!

Ubacat said

I have to admit the Milk oolong is amazing. It’s the only one I’ve ever tasted that has a bit coconut flavour. I wonder if flavouring has been added?

Wocket said

I’m pretty sure the bag I got stated as much.

Garret said

Yes, this Milk Oolong we sell is an aromatized version of Jin Xuan oolong. The scenting process is done organically using food-grade (no gluten or dairy) ingredients. It is not that there is “flavoring” added, but the scenting of the tea definitely enhances the flavors present in the traditional Jin Xuan oolong. I have been buying this milk oolong from this Taiwanese source since 2005. As long as he is making it, I’m buying it. It’s worth mentioning that the leaf is also grown organically. I’m so happy that people enjoy it so much. Grateful, Garret

Thanks for being open about the oolong. I’ve tried asking another seller about theirs (to see if I could serve it to a vegan friend) and never got a response.

Thank you so much, Luke! It was a pleasure getting your pu’er cakes ready to go and shipped out. I truly appreciate the support of this humble endeavor!

The milk oolong sounds amazing and so does the pu’erh cake sample pack. Pu’erh is the type of tea that I have the least amount of experience with and I’m really looking into trying different batches. I can’t wait until the site comes back up!

I see that the website is up! You’re out of everything that I want to try, though. Any idea when the mini tuocha pack, GABA Black, and Milk Oolong will be back in stock?

Garret said

The site is not supposed to be up as the payment method thingy is not yet ready. I’ll email my web guy and check on this right away. I am sorry about the confusion. All of those items ARE in stock. If you want to make an order, shoot me an email and I can send you a paypal invoice right away. [email protected] We are shooting to have the site up and running by the end of the month.

I sent you an e-mail!

And I just replied :) Thank you!
