Anyone want to share the cost of the New Harvest?

You asked where I was getting my figures from, whether it is possible to buy six 50g teas for $40 or less. I can do this randomly. Check out Teavivre.com, click on the Black Tea category. I can make a variety of combinations, including organic teas and 100g amounts! I am not deliberately promoting Teavivre, they just randomly came to mind. Or Yunnan Sourcing, same thing. I am looking in dollars, not pounds sterling.

One issue I see today, with people under 35 starting tea businesses, is that they are so in love with their idea that the assumption is other people will see how wonderful it is, and of course will want to fund it. Behind that is a failure to do basic research and market comparisons, and think through how the product you can get is any better than anyone else’s. If I can buy 100g of tea x 6 from a gazillion vendors, a new business needs a real idea of how to top that. You cannot top this, except to ask people to fund you personally. In this case it would be more honest to just set up a GoFundMe and ask for contributions rather than a convoluted social media Tea Club.
