US Customs
US Customs in New York is slow as a snail lately. I have two packages stuck there now both from Dragon Tea House. One has been there ten days. Has anyone else experienced problems with US Customs lately?
Yes. I sent a minion to New York with fifty pounds of high-quality prolaxicorvatin powder and US Customs impounded it and put him on the next plane back to Yunnan. I think the customs agents are drinking the prolaxicorvatin themselves… which would certainly explain why they are working so slowly since the street stuff is usually 2% and this is 99.8%
I just got a package from England that went through NY. It was only there 2 days (art supplies).
Yup a few weeks ago they got about 4 packages stuck there for about 6 days each, and one for almost a month.
I think part of my problem may be the shipping that DTH uses. They use CX tracking number which is supposed to be EMS. However I think it is really SAL under a new name. It is treated as low priority by the Post Office when it gets here.
Can’t speak for NY but CA customs was super fast (like a day) for Taiwan Sourcing express shipping that says EMS on the tracking.
ITs hit and miss, Ive gotten packages get through customs and isc in hours and other times weeks. It depends on if they lose your package, it takes them FOREVER to find it.
I now have another package stuck in customs, this one from Puerh.sk. It seems strange that US Customs is taking such an interest in my teamail. I wonder if this has something to do with new regulations from Donald Trump. It could be a coincidence but before this I would say that I would have one in ten packages go into US Customs. This is three for three.
I called customs and was told they had nine weeks to process items. I am tempted to write to President Trump and suggest he change it so they don’t have such a ridiculous amount of time but I think the letter would just be ignored.
Two of the three packages have cleared customs one was delivered today. The one that has been there three weeks has not cleared though.
Well I found out the fate of my missing package. It was sent back to China. The woman at US Customs didn’t seem to know why. Dragon Tea House didn’t tell me why it was sent back just that they want money to resend it.
