Bitaco ColombianTea Group Buy
I find it almost hard to believe that only about five of us are interested in trying Colombian tea. Is anyone else interested in trying tea from a whole new region of the world for a great price?
I have no interest in the green teas, so sadly can’t commit to joining this. Similarly, 600g is a lot of tea!
AllanK, what if we 5 commit to the 100g each of us has already spoken for and the remainder you can possibly advertise for smaller amounts?

Not sure if you’re active on Reddit, but maybe your could generate interest by cross posting on there? If you post in r/tea’s Marketing Monday or r/teasales you might be able to get a few more people.
I live in Colombia. I’ll find out the price of the tea at a local Colombian tea store, perhaps that way it may be possible to buy less and at not so an expensive price. Give me a day and I’ll report.

Every person who commits to the buy is welcome. Are you willing to take 100g of all six teas or only 50g. If a lot of people want only 50g we need that many more people to commit.
The price here is $40,000 COP (Colombian pesos) for 100 grams. Today’s exchange rate is $2,871.98 pesos for 1 dollar, which means that 100 grams cost USD $13.92.
By the way, this is for the Bitaco unflavored, loose leaf black tea.

Thanks for the offer but that is significantly more than the direct price. The direct price would be $5 for 100g of the black tea and in truth I already have the black tea from a domestic seller who sells it. That is why I wanted to try the rest. It is a wholesale price but you have to buy wholesale quantities.
I’m interested, how would payment/timing work?
Ideally I would like to get a good amount of payment in advance because I don’t want to simply put it on a credit card and I don’t know if I will have the spare cash to pay with my bank account. However, until we have enough people committing to buying up the 6 kg of tea I would not take any payments. At this point there has not been enough interest. I believe you are the sixth or seventh person to express interest and the group buy cannot happen until we get enough people committing themselves to it.
We are now up to eight interested people including myself. If all eight are willing to take 100g we need only two more. If some of the eight are only willing to take 50g we still need a few more than that.
