2017 Darjeeling

Teatrekker sent an email announcing their 2017 First Flush Darjeelings
As “delight” style I am not sure what this means

Tea Trekker is a very good store but I have not bought their Darjeelings. I have bought a number of Darjeelings direct from India from Vahdam teas and in fact am expecting a delivery from them tomorrow morning.

I’m also not familiar with the term “delight” with respect to Darjeelings, though I don’t drink much of them. Here’s Tea Trekker’s announcement. Maybe someone else can shed some light on it:

“These are both ‘Delight’ manufactures but are more traditional in style than the ‘Delight’ style Darjeeling teas of recent years. Those of you who have been yearning for 1st Flush Darjeeling teas that are less ‘green’ in flavor and style; that have great Darjeeling flavor without the astringent ‘bite’ of the ‘modern-style’ Darjeeling teas of the last decade or so – you are in for a treat – these are in that style. It has required some challenging sourcing, but this year we have finally found several tea-makers who excel in the more traditional style of Darjeeling manufacture.”

I took a look on their website and most of their Darjeeling seem to be not yet available. Also, I saw several names that seemed familiar and I think I purchased from Vahdam Teas direct from India.
