A bad habit of drinking tea

“A cup tea for a day” means brewing the cup of tea again and again. It’s a bad habit of drinking tea.Tea leaves are not allowed to soak in water for a long time. Because it will make theophylline increase and cause health problems. It also influences the taste if you do that.
Do you have the bad habit?

the bots keep getting better; I give this work a C-, not exactly clear but starting to develop more clarity and narrative structure. content-wise it’s complete nonsense but then humans tend to communicate like that too.

Different people have different ideas about that?
The taste of a few times brewings a different experience for me.

May be you are right. It just depends on your preference.

Yes, I have the bad habit of re-brewing the same cup of tea again and again, soaking the tea leaves in water for long, thereby influencing the taste of the tea and increasing the theophylline content in my body.

May be you can try to rid yourself of the habit. But it depends on your preference.

Interesting a bot brings up a real medical issue, so I looked into what theophylline is. Turns out it’s a drug, used as such per web MD:

Theophylline is used to treat lung diseases such as asthma and COPD (bronchitis, emphysema). It must be used regularly to prevent wheezing and shortness of breath. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as xanthines. It works in the airways by relaxing muscles, opening breathing passages, and decreasing the lungs’ response to irritants. Controlling symptoms of breathing problems can decrease time lost from work or school.
This medication must be used regularly to be effective.

Sounds interesting, so I read further. Per a Wikipedia article it’s contained at roughly 1 mg / liter in tea, so I checked dosage, here (https://www.drugs.com/dosage/theophylline.html)

Usual Adult Dose for Asthma – Acute
Loading dose: 5 mg/kg loading dose (patient not receiving theophylline or aminophylline).
Maintenance dose:
Otherwise Healthy Nonsmoking Adult: 10 mg/kg/day. Do not exceed 900 mg/day.
Otherwise Healthy Adult Smoker: 16 mg/kg/day.
Patient with congestive heart failure or cor pulmonale: 5 mg/kg/day. Do not exceed 400 mg/day

So drinking 10 liters of tea per day would have absolutely no effect related to those typical dosage levels; no health risk or positive benefit to be concerned about.

Maybe that’s why drinking tea seems to calm down my asthma…or not. Gotta love all the crazy “health information” available on the internet.
