tea samples/coupons/discounts?
Hello there! My name is Emilija, and I’m brand spankin’ new to steepster, and to penny pinching. I’ve got to go to university in a year (grade twelve starts in four weeks, ahhhhhh!), so I’ve been saving up money for tuition. I am also an avid tea drinker, which causes some financial difficulty, especially if I splurge on a tea and it ends up being rather bland/bitter. I was wondering if any tea companies in Canada were doing sales/promotions/sample giveouts, so I can squeeze in a few cups of exciting new teas.

I’m pretty new to Steepster myself.
First, I want to vouch for the lovely Rachel of iHeartTeas. I’ve orderd from her and she’s a fantastic seller. You’ll be very happy with anything you order from her.
Second, I’m not a retailer but I do understand being a frugal university student, and have a cupboard overflowing with tea. I’d be happy to send you a sample of any tea I have in my Steepster cupboard. My samples won’t be as generous or creative as Ms. Rachel’s, but I can send you enough of each tea for one or two tries. Fellow Steepsters have been very generous with me, and it would be my pleasure to do the same for you.

Keep your eye on this discussion board; a lot of times tea companies will post sales and sample givaways here. I’ve gotten a bunch of free samples from companies looking for people to review their teas on Steepster. There’s also a thread called “Miscellaneous Sales” which is sometimes updated with groupons and the like.
I believe Joy’s Teaspoon (http://joysteaspoon.com/) will still send a few free samples out if you email her, and I’ve been very pleased with what I’ve gotten from her before.
Welcome! If you use some of the words you used in the discussion subject in the search box, you’re sure to find many companies that offer great tea at great prices.
Welcome to steepster you’ve stumbled on a lovely little community of ruffins. None of us bite but some growl a bit, don’t worry about them, they scare easy. :)
As far as free samples I usually get them by sweet talking my local distributor :) However if you haven’t already done so, google “free tea” in about 30 seconds I found half a dozen companies willing to ship free samples.
