Dew calculator for mold prevention with storage in pumidor

This is quite interesting. I am getting a simple pumidor and after seeing a post somewhere it led me to this:

http://www.dpcalc.org/

it seems that because my temps are low-medium fluctuating all the time in the UK, that 72%RH (which I was considering) is too much, with the potential for mold. But if I knock it down to 65% then the risk is practically non-existent.

Maybe a useful tool for mold prevention for someone here :)

Rotation every six months should keep the risk down as well.

Ok, noted.

I am normally running 70-72F and 70% RH. I haven’t had any issues yet but I keep a good eye on them.

You’ve been doing this a few years now and no problems, correct?

None so far. I have an air rotation system with computer fans I run as well. About 10 minutes each week and a rotation schedule.

Yes, thats what I mean in my original Post, with my low to medium temps that fluctuate being worse for mold than constant high temp high humidity. (my temps are in the worst band for quick mold according to the chart!)

I am going to monitor it for a while to see w how constant the pumidor is in the UK
