It's tea time!!

It is 6:35 PM and I am currently sitting here having Tea Trekker’s Darjeeling Castleton Garden 2010 2nd Flush FTGFOP1 and loving it! I believe I am slowly becoming more discriminating about the flavors of straight black tea, as when I first tried this tea months ago I didn’t find it particularly exciting (I thought it tasted like any other standard black tea). But now, OH now, I can taste … well I am still learning how to put the taste into words, but what matters most is that I really like it! It’s not flat, or stale, or overpowered by some other flavor as has been the case with most of the black teas I have had for most of my life.

Would I share it? Gladly! I still have enough left for a few more pots, so why not?!

It’s 4:42 pm and I just brewed the last of my Pear & Pomegranate tea from Townshend’s tea. I still have another cups worth left in the pot and would be happy to share if another tea lover were to stop by.

For some reason I am feeling exceptionally ‘social’ tonight (maybe its all of that caffeine from the Darjeeling), so I looked into your cupboard to see what you had to say about the Pear & Pomegranate tea. And … holy moley you have 173 teas! Getting a little sidetracked I looked at one of your creations, and it seems your Sweet Caramel O Mine is very well liked, and your Potpourri looks simply beautiful! And the Green Tea Fruit Smoothie by Ovation Teas looks awesome, but you haven’t logged any notes yet. How fun to page through and see such a diverse array of teas, each one displaying its own unique qualities through name, shape and color!

Looking at your review, its sounds like the Pear & Pomegranate tea is great (I didn’t find it in your cupboard, though). I think I read somewhere flavoring tea with pear is common in the Pacific Northwest. I’ll have to try some sometime. : )

My cupboard isn’t exactly up to date… I do try to keep up with it… and truth be told, I have more than what’s listed in my cupboard. There are some that are gone, but a whole lot more that are just not listed. It’s become quite a lost cause. LOL

Unfortunately, I no longer flavor/blend teas, so the Sweet Caramel O’Mine and Potpourri are no longer available. The Green Tea Fruit Smoothie I just sampled the rest out to a friend… but I did write a full-length review of it, so I think I’ll backlog a tasting note on it since I must have neglected to write one when I had it.

Sigh ~ I wish you were still blending. The Potpourri tea that I won from the Sororitea Sisters blog was delightful.

MMMMMM, I had glitter and gold as a latte today while at DAVIDs, and right now (5:15pm) I’m sipping a cup of caramel spice, I will gladly make more if a stranger were to stop by!

Continuing with my attempt to socialize out here, I also looked into David’s glitter and gold that you drank earlier. It sounds like a tea my wife would like (she loves cinnamon).

David’s Caramel Spice, huh? I checked it out, and it sounds interesting. One thing I will say that I like about David’s, they do a great job of making their teas look and sound enticing.

Btw, did do you know if David’s recently change/update their website recently? It looks different than I remember it.

They upgraded their website right after the launch of the Fall teas :)

It 6:24 pm and I’m drinking a lovely yunnan gold tips from puerh shop, albeit not the best dian hong I have I need to get rid of it to make way for the others. Just got back from a short back packing trip, three days, so I’m tired and not feeling particularly social, however if someone stopped in they would of course be offered a cup. I may secretly hope they don’t take me up on it though. :P

It’s 6:26 a.m. and I’m drinking some lemon cream pie tea from DavidsTea. My last bit and they are sold out online. I’ve been up since 2 a.m. and just enjoying the silence of the house and knitting some mittens.

Oh man, I forgot about that one. I think I have half a tin of it left.. Maybe I really do need to stop buying tea and enjoy what I already have. :S

Yeah, I seem to be in an acquire! acquire! acquire! mode lately and less use and enjoy what I have.

Then there is me, money is so tight I am desperate for new tea, and yet “stuck” with what I have.

Yesterday a botum of Long Life Oolong got me through the day, quite happily… now today… I don’t know, I lost my favourite travel mug and it has me so upset! I wish I had money to go and buy a new one.

I might start the day with pumpkin chai despite not having any milk and finding it a little off putting without the milk.

12:25am. Drinking T2’s Vanilla Slice iced with lots of ice cubes and I’d definitely share this with a stranger perfect drink to welcome in Spring and to give someone who’s made the effort to rock up at my door. :)

It’s 7:52PM here, and I just had a forth steeping on an China Cha Dao Wuyi oolong that has changed my perception of this tea. How cool.

I’m getting ready to brew up a Dan Cong oolong I got from DeRen Tea.

I would happily share either tea with anyone interested.

I’m on my fifth and sixth infusion of Yiwu Wild Arbor Sheng, and I’d be happy to infuse it yet again (and I’m certain the leaves can produce another very flavorful infusion or two … or more!) for someone if they were to stop by … however, I can’t share the rest of the dry leaf, as the rest is already promised to TeaEqualsBliss. :)

It’s 9:42pm here and I’m drinking some Winter Fire guayusa. I would love to share it but would caution that it is pretty spicy.
