It's tea time!!

it’s 10:45 here, and I’m having the third on the http://steepster.com/teas/culinary-teas/23500-brandy-and-winter-peppermint. This tea is one of the best flavor added tea I have EVER had. It actually tastes like an alcoholic beverage (the brandy), without too much mint.

It’s not expensive, so I’d happily share it with a stranger!

I do love this tea … it reminds me of peppermint schnapps … and peppermint schnapps is one of those liqueurs that have a fond memory for me… it was the first alcohol that I purchased myself (I was just 15, too! I was quite tall for my age – I’m 6 ft tall now and I was pretty close to that then, and so I was able to make the liquor store guy think I was old enough to purchase alcohol! It made me the cool girl for the day)

Now, I’d prefer this tea over the peppermint schnapps, as I so rarely imbibe alcohol.

WHAT A GREAT STORY! At 15 you were able to convince the liquor store guy you were of age?! I can certainly imagine that being almost 6 ft tall helped, but still!

Other than an occasional home brewed beer, I rarely drink alcohol, either. Still, it is amazing how some teas can take us back to those, uh, younger and sometimes wilder days, isn’t it?!

I’m enjoying the Thunderbolt Darjeeling by tealeaves and as Darjeelings go, I like this one. Mind you, I did under steep it. I’m waiting for my volunteer shift to start at Tea Fest. So excited to be spending 4hrs with the vendor for Vastu Chai!!

I just had a tea called Elegant Earl Grey, from PichWich, it tasted like rubber.. literal rubber, metal yuck… then I realised that I had took the water from my hot water bottle and reheated the water in the kettle again mixing yucky hot water bottle water with normal water… HOT WATER BOTTLE TEA.. GROSS. I SPAT IT OUT.

honestly, big mistake to use the same water.. my water mains are going crazy so there’s no water in the house _.. bad.

so many new delicious teas at Tea Fest. I’d share them all!

but the Jade Oolong from River Delights; umm I don’t think I’d ever share.

it’s 3PM here, and my wife and I had a pot of Golden Jade for our morning green, and we just tried the first steeping on the Thousand Mountain Jasmine (we both agree that while the scent of flowers is wonderful, and the aroma of it is tea is a delight to behold, the taste of it in tea is not our favorite), and I just made her a cup of 52Teas Caramel Vanilla Chai.

Can’t speak for my wife, but I know I’d happily share any of these teas with a stranger!

I am now finishing a cup of French Canadian Maple Tea from Tealicious Tea Company, and it is SOOOOOO good. Amazingly good. It takes me back to the first time I sampled Maple candy, which I fell in love with instantly. Spring may be trying to make its way through winter’s strong-hold, but, with this tea in my cup, it is autumn! LOVE!

And I’d be happy to share it with someone… if I were not down to my last sip or two!

1:36 PM in Nova Scotia and I am enjoying the last cup of Shamrock Tea from 52Teas while doing my hour at switchboard. This is not a favourite of mine so I am glad to have de-cupboarded it – Though if I did still have some left I would absolutely share it with strangers. I would send it home with them even! : )

It’s 11:44am in California and I’ve just finished some Dragonwell from The Tea Spot.

This is my second green tea today and I had a white to start the morning. I’m normally a drinker of darker teas, so it’s been a light, mellow morning and I am eager to mix in some pu-erh with lunch!
