The 12 year 7542 Dayi Journey.
The last post meaning I’m in…although I too busted my budget with a cake of puerh sk gushu rareness and a cake of their 2017 GeDeng which is sadly already gone from their site.
So… I have my quote at $607 shipped which is still a good deal for all 12 cakes.
If I said $660 for time and materials added in… How many are serious? Deciding tonight.
edit total will be $1.50 for materials and $6 fee per person. Still waiting to see how many join.
10% for time to break up all 12 cakes and packing, as well as taking this project on is more than reasonable. That said..I’m serious.

So this 100% is happening but here’s some thoughts:
Less than 15 people means more shipping cost for a box… Say $8 US versus $4 for a poly bag. 15 people also means more time.
10 people might be ideal? If I do more it does mean more time, but it does get cheaper… But dang, if I say $68 or whatever a person for 300+ grams, 12 different years of 7542… This is a deal… There are so many ways of tasting these too. 2006 with 2016, 2006 2008 and 2010, 2015 2016 2017.. Whatever anyone wants to do.

… the 7542 that I have that’s magical… $4,100hk :p and yes, I plan on eventually putting it on my shop because I was crazy enough to buy one; it’s also 15 years old :)

Lots of new people wanting in. This will give some a good chance to see how tea ages. If you need a fill I will join in but I don’t want tp take an opportunity away from someone as well. I have a few factory cakes around here somewhere…….LP just keep me updated on how it goes.
Looks like we’re at 9 currently. Anyone who signs up by 8pm est will be included. The total will not exceed 17 people though; wanting to keep minimum of 20g per year.

Got anyone in the area that could split shipping? This might end up being over 13oz which is when shipping cost much more
Are the newer cakes the same blend as the 06? I hear that some factories have changed their blends over the years
I’m in. I’ve been interested in factory cakes but never known where to start. So I’ll start here.
The only notable factory cake I’ve had is 2001 8653 which was quite good. Just let me know how much and preferred payment method…

At 12 people it’s 12 cakes 12 ways, should be 28 to 30 grams per year for everyone.
I am going to wait to see if we can get just one more because then I can end up using poly mailers and reduce shipping by 50% versus over 13 ounces and using boxes.
I like 14!!! $608/14 + $1.50 materials + $6.00 fee = $50.92 so let’s just say $55 SHIPPED for everyone; that means you international folk are getting hooked up!
