Worth adding milk into loose leaf tea?

Hi everyone!

I’ve runned out of my yorkshire tea but I had some high quality assam enigma (300gr of it, I really love it and I buy it in bulk).

Now the question is, is it fair/worth/whatever you want to say it, to add milk and honey to it? Or should I buy another yorkshire breakfast tea for everyday and keep the assam enigma for those days in which I have more time? (actually just holidays and weekends).

I have some reallllly nice oolongs that I regularly make lattes out of, so maybe I am just biased but… why not try it?
The only real problem is if you like it wayyyy better you might end up picking up an expensive habit ;)

Assam is even better with milk. No joke.

You’d better not. That is not a good idea.

Yes you can add milk and honey to any loose leaf Assam tea. I personally add milk and honey to an orthodox Assam masala chai blend. For future, you can get cheaper varieties than the Enigma for this purpose. Some options:

You can absolutely add milk to tea! I do it all the time for masala chais.

Also, you can do a “London Fog” which is steamed milk and Earl Grey. Its delicious!

Well, you could always try it out at least once~. Experimentation in brewing has always been a good practice in tea-making, in my personal opinion. You learn what you like and/or don’t like. It is worth at least the first time you try something out. :)

yes! i wholeheartedly agree with this statement.

I’ve never had milk in tea before but I’ve always wanted to try it! but, as a poor college student is this a good place to start or is there a better place to try it first?
