Looking for a good Tea Advent Calendar

I’m looking for recommendations on a tea advent calendar! I don’t really want the David’s Tea one as I find their tea too sweet! I’d really like to find one that is single origin tea rather than blends, but failing that I’d go for a mix!

Preferably Canadian companies as import duties are a killer, but open to suggestions outside of Canada :)

Oh… I was going to say David’s Tea has one for 45 american dollars. Never mind then. I tried typing in “tea advent calendar” into Amazon and it came up with some options. Seemed to have a lot of xmas teas surprise surprise.

Thanks! I did the same, I don’t mind a few xmasy ones, but I want a bit more variety haha

There is a Palais de Thes advent calendar. I actually got it for myself and looks very cute and xmasy. I believe they are bagged teas.

Here’s a blog post from The Cup of Life blog which might help: http://theteacupoflife.com/2015/11/favourite-diy-tea-advent-calendar-ideas.html

angrytearoom.com has a lovely advent “calendar” but it is cute clear box full of tins that have a few servings of each tea. Mostly blends, but they aren’t bad.

Oh, the site for angrytearoom says the advent is sold out for now, but they are probably in the process of making it this year.

Just got an e-mail from angrytearoom.com saying their advent calendars are BACK!

This does look cute and those pots would come in useful, I wanted a few less blends though. I think Im gonna go for the Westholme one :)

Canadian but not cheap. https://www.westholmetea.com/shop/tea-advent-calendar-2017/

You may have to contact them as the listing does not allow you to select it on the browser I’m using .

I have never had to pay duty on tea I have imported into Canada however if customs sees it as something else they might charge it. Otherwise current rules allow you to import up to 3kg of tea for personal use without penalty.

Given that Dammann freres calendar is available the teas are flavoured but not too sweet. Shipping is around 14$. Last time I looked. Fortnum and Mason has two. A deluxe one that seems to have mostly unflavoured and higher grade teas and a more basic one. I am not sure about if and what it costs to ship to Canada. Theodor has one but shipping is more than the price of the Calendar.

Westholme Tea Company is close to where I live and I can vouch for the extremely high quality of their teas. Most of their teas are pure and directly sourced from the farmer. I don’t know if the advent calendar has flavoured blends in it, but they grow all of their own herbs on their farm (lavender, peppermint, nettle, etc) without any pesticides. All their flavoured teas are made using their own lavender oil or herbs.

I had seen the Westholme one on a blog post from a few years but couldn’t find it on their website, so wasn’t sure if they had stopped doing it or if I was too early! This is definitely what I’m after! The F&M duluxe one was also on my list too, but as I shouldn’t have to pay tax or shipping on the Westholme one, I think I’ll go for that! Thank you :)

Thank you @arby that’s great to know! Will be making a purchase!

I’m glad that was what you were looking for. They just posted it on the 3rd I think, so it might have been to early before. Enjoy it!

bluebirdteaco.com also has an advent, but I’ve never bought one. I LOVE their teas though they are mostly blends, which I imagine would be in the advent. It would be a good way to give their teas a try though (also, there might be other tea related things in the advent, not just tea? Not sure.)
