I am also trying to completely eliminate caffeine due to a doctor’s rec.
Can anyone recommend a good honeybush chai? Preferably something not too peppery (cardamom=good, cinnamon=good). I’d love to find a good rooibos or honeybush chai that has COCONUT flavors, but I can’t seem to find a good one.
Yogic Chai’s are delicious, and they offer coconut versions (which are my favourite). They have a rooibos-coconut one: http://www.yogicchai.com/catalog/yogicchai/coconut-rooibos-masala-chai-naturally-decaffeinated-p-296.html.
The coconut isn’t really strong but it makes it creamy and sweet and their chais in general are really flavourful. Unfortunately they don’t have a honeybush but there is also a mate and kukicha. I think the caffeine content of kukicha is almost negligible, but I’m not sure.
Twinings also makes herbals…but that’s not my thing.
Except Winter Spice….mmmm.

hi kanata!
i’m new to this site and i know this discussion is pretty old, but i just wanted to say that i SINCERELY hope your caffeine free lifestyle is going well!!
(i chose to quit caffeine about a year or so ago, and even though i have lost 50 lbs and run my first marathon since then, i still tell everyone that quitting caffeine was probably the #1 healthiest thing i’ve ever done for myself. )
i freakin LOVE herbal teas!!! i just ordered 5 new ones from davidstea - and i’m using steepster to start planning my next purchases.
(my boything lived in Vancouver for 3 years and will always refer to it as heaven on earth)
best of luck to you!
If you haven’t had Teecino, you may want to check it out. I’ve had it in the past and I enjoyed it. It’s meant to be a coffee substitute, but I think it tastes more like tea personally.

I would pick up some kukicha and houjicha (Japanese teas made from stems). Houjicha has a nice roasted flavor that you dont get with other noncaffeinated teas.
