I have been receiving my samples of Taiwan high mountain teas from a variety of sources from Taiwan,USA,U.K. Canada, and Europe
Some of packaging is different. Some arrive in packets that
Are vacuum sealed and with a desicatepack others are loose in packets double sealed envelopes. Does the packaging effect the tea? Does the desiccant affect the tea besides absorbing any moisture.

If you are buying Taiwan green oolongs they will start to lose their flavor fairly quickly. However, if you keep them in the vacuum sealed bags until you use them they really shouldn’t degrade. Other packaging they can degrade. However if you are buying heavily roasted Taiwan oolongs this should have less of an effect.
