Cleaning tea tins

I have a ton of tins from Teavana and some of them have tea smell from the tea that was in it. I really don’t know how to clean them & don’t know what to do with them since Teavana is closing.

Due to the particularity of tea pot making materials, it has the function of preventing the shedding of the metal iron pot surface and can only maintain the metallic luster on the surface of the tea iron pot with simple maintenance.

Tea canister cleaning and maintenance method 1: As far as possible to avoid tea metal cans contact with grease, such as accidentally stained with some difficult to remove dirt, should not use hard objects scraping, ash can be used to place the stains, local stains available cotton Cloth polishing polishing paste.

Tea canister cleaning and maintenance II: frosted side of the tea cans, can be cleaned with warm soapy water, and smooth tea tin, with high-quality silver wash after the water 揩 erase, you can maintain a permanent bright shine.

Gotcha! I’ll try it out.

Hope it could help you. :D

Wipe them out with a cloth and a bit of water, let them air dry.

Try to use similiar flavor teas, Med roasted oolong to high roasted oolong can, or such.

That way even if there is still a slight aroma its nto a big deal.

I agree with this. I also have a few extra ones, so I can leave them airing for a while in between uses.

Thanks for the advice!!

It can be next to impossible to remove the smell of some flavored teas. I have tea tins that were used with Teavana flavored teas years ago that still won’t lose the smell despite airing them out, scrubbing, baking soda, etc.
